Magan - I would say, Mands, that if you didn’t love Wither, then you might not connect with Fever. The issues went deeper and got even more twisted than in Wither.

March 1, 2012 - 4:32 pm

Magan - Thanks, Lena! Thanks for the book hook-up. :) And yes, definitely terrifying.

February 29, 2012 - 7:35 pm

Lena - Great review, Magan! I’m so glad you enjoyed it more than the first one. There might not be nuclear weapons and war, but DeStefano’s world sure is terrifying! :-)

February 29, 2012 - 2:14 pm

VeganYANerds - I liked your description of how the story felt, BAM!

I really don’t know if I want to bother with Fever, I didn’t like Wither even after being told how awesome it was, I don’t think I’ll be rushing out to get it, I’ll wait until the library gets a copy. But you do have me interested because you said it’s better than Wither, which is rare in a series of 3 books.

VeganYANerds - It’s great when an author can get you to relate to a character you’d normally think you have nothing in common with. I haven’t read anything by Molly but I would definitely like to read this!

February 27, 2012 - 1:36 pm

theplussideofme - I’ll have to check this book out. I’m always interested in texts that I can possibly recommend to my (potential) high school students. I’m a little fearful though, since my best friend died in a drunk driving accident at the age of 15 (which in turn split our friend group up into divides that still exist). I suppose some of the most triggering reads are the most powerful. Perhaps it will be a cathartic process.

February 27, 2012 - 11:43 am

Anna - AHHHHHHH! I love love love Molly so I’m so happy to see you enjoyed Princesses of Iowa. She’s MY writing teacher, so perhaps I’m biased, but I think she’s brilliant.

Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl - What cute dogs! And wow, you got such great books! I wish the Pitch Dark Tour came here! Brodi Ashton lives near me, and had an event that I was not aware of until a few hours after it was over (at my university, nonetheless. Ahhh!). Hopefully she has another one soon. :) But I’m glad you got a signed copy, and I hope you love reading it! I really enjoyed it. :) And I hope you love Under the Never sky, because I LOVED IT. Same with Delirium! I’m so happy you’re giving it another try. :) I can’t WAIT to read Pandemonium. It’s going to show up on my Kindle late tomorrow night, and I’m really excited!

Bernice - It’s really fascinating how two people can become such good friends after realizing they share a particular interest. The photos are really beautiful. Thank you for being so kind and hosting this giveaway. I have read 2 John Green books before but i haven’t purchased TFIOS simply because in a review i read it was mentioned that it involves someone who has cancer and my grandfather died because of cancer while my mother just battled cancer aswell. But i guess i’m emotionally stable to read about someone with/battling cancer now :). God Bless xxx

Sharon @ Fictionally Inclined - I have yet to read a John Green book, actually. I know. It’s horrible! Looking for Alaska has been on my list for years, but I have yet to read it. I have recently decided that The Fault in Our Stars is going to be my first. It sounds really good and has gotten great reviews. I can’t wait! I’m in 20th (or so) place for it at my library. It would be cooler to win it, though. 😀
