Mary m - I’ve never read any books by Kristin Higgins but this on sounds great.

October 8, 2014 - 11:26 pm

Alexa S. - I have yet to read a Higgins book. Yes, yes, I know, I should definitely remedy that! In Your Dreams sounds so dang adorable + sweet + complicated. It’s just the kind of contemporary romance that I could see myself enjoying!

October 7, 2014 - 6:35 pm

Janice Hougland - Gosh, I liked this reviewer’s way of telling about Higgins’ storytelling and this story in particular! She does it so well and it dovetails with how I feel about Higgins’ stories. I had a domineering mother growing up, who loved to criticize rather than build up, and I was chubby and kind of a nerd so I was rather quiet and by myself a lot during the school years. I could really empathize with Emmaline…and Jack too. I think I’m gonna love this book as much as I have all the rest of Kristan’s books! Thanks for the post.

October 7, 2014 - 4:23 pm

Sherrie J - Who doesn”t like to get lost in a good romance novel, and let all the cares of the world drift away, if inly for a few hours, dreamy!

October 4, 2014 - 8:41 am

Leah - I was grinning throughout this entire review, E! I’ve been slacking with this series (oh my gosh, we’re already up to book FOUR?!), but I’m thrilled Kristan hasn’t lost any steam! I’m a teensy bit worried about that cover though – the snowy scene automatically makes me think this is a Christmas Novel (idk why, but I’ve never been a fan of those!). From your review it doesn’t seem like that’s the case though.

October 3, 2014 - 5:23 pm

Anna G - I have never read a book by Kristan Higgins before, but I’ve been curious. This sounds like a good story!

October 3, 2014 - 1:52 pm

Jessica - My Mom loves Kristan Higgins books! And I love the cover of this book, it’s darling! 🙂

Lindsey Lane on Storytelling + Evidence of Things Not Seen

(From Lindsey Lane:) When I go into a school for an author visit, I always tell students that the cool thing about writing is that there are no right or wrong answers. There’s spelling. There’s grammar and punctuation. But really, there is no right way to tell a story. For me, as long as I’m […]

Alexa S. - I really agree with Lindsey – there’s no right or wrong way to tell a story! There are just plenty of different ways that will work in different mediums and for different people. Really enjoyed reading her guest post!

Lindsey Lane - Thank you for letting me stop by and share my storytelling thoughts with your readers.

Make It Last by Megan Erickson | Estelle Reviews, Estelle - […] Make It Last by Megan Erickson ( web | tweet | facebook ) Part of Bowler University new adult series. Published January 6, 2015 from William Morrow Impulse Pages: 384 Format read: ARC from Publisher via Edelweiss (Thank you!) Last reviewed: Make It Right […]

October 8, 2014 - 10:40 pm

Alexa S. - I really enjoyed Make It Right! I’m a sucker for a good redemption story, and Erickson did a great job with Max. I liked getting to know him a little bit better, and understanding what makes him the way he is! Plus, his efforts to change and grow? Solid. I also really liked Lea! Plus, their romance just made me very, very happy 🙂

September 19, 2014 - 9:19 pm

Danielle @ Love at First Page - Great review! I just read both books back to back and was very happy with how light and fun they were. Not too much angst or pain-filled baggage. I agree – Max’s journey was very realistic and we get a great understanding of why he behaved so badly in the first book.
Very excited for Cam’s book!

September 12, 2014 - 12:09 pm

Wendy @ Book Scents - This sounds really good! I like that the baggage is relatable! When characters have baggage that just starts to be over the top and way too much, it totally bugs me. I’m definitely going to have to check out this series!

September 12, 2014 - 12:06 pm

Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook - I recently read Make It Right. I thought it was cute. I haven’t read Make It Count, so I didn’t know Max from that. But I got the feeling he was a total jerk. I actually really like when authors take total jerks and make them into heroes, although that isn’t always easily done.

Have you read Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas? That’s a historical romance and whoa does Kleypas create a total jerk and then redeem him.

September 12, 2014 - 11:50 am

Asheley (@BookwormAsheley) - This is the second review I’ve seen for this book and they’ve both been positive! It sounds like something I’d like. I read yesterday that this one is kind of like a second chance story, and I always tend to like those. ALSO I like it when there is a character that I’m not too sure about but he/she ends up winning me over in the end – in the past that character has sometimes been my favorite of the series. This sounds fun, E!

Rites of Passage: A Bootcamp Wardrobe + Giveaway

Attention, friends, attention! Today is such an exciting day for Alexa, Rachel, and me. Rites of Passage is a review book we were all so, so lucky to receive review copies of. I DEVOURED IT. Alexa S. - Not going to lie – I’m obsessed with EVERYTHING in this post. Obsessed to the point where I just want to own them all! I think I’m particularly in love with those aviators, and that dog tag inspired necklace – they’re two things I could definitely integrate well into my wardrobe.

September 21, 2014 - 9:22 pm

Kayla - I want to read this because it sounds very interesting and is a modern twist on one of my favorite fantasy tropes – first girl in a warrior school of some sort. Thanks for offering this giveaway!

September 20, 2014 - 10:08 pm

Jaime Lynn - It sounds amazing, and from what I have heard from people it is even better than it sounds. Besides, I haven’t read anything really like this before, and I am always up for new adventures! Thanks for the giveaway!

September 18, 2014 - 8:31 pm

Maneesha - I’ve been hearing nothing but great things about this book. So want to find out what all the hype is about!

September 10, 2014 - 11:28 am

Asheley (@BookwormAsheley) - I can’t get over how much everyone loves this book and it is one that I want to read because my friends have loved it. Complete word of mouth, which is kind of awesome. ALSO: I have undying love for Doc Martens, forever and ever. I will never reveal how many pairs I’ve had/currently have, and how much money I have given that company in my lifetime. No shame.

Lucy - I just started reading the e-arc of this book and have only heard great things Love your fashion feature – ! Dr. Martens are classics for sure- I don’t think they ever went out of style for teens. But yeah they probably destroyed my back too.

September 8, 2014 - 8:06 pm

Natalie - If you guys like it, then it’s safe to bet I probably will. I mean, we both share a deep love for Zac Efron, sooo…

September 8, 2014 - 5:55 pm

Brittnee - The book seems really good! And the outfit you came up with is adorable.

September 8, 2014 - 4:56 pm

Daphne - if you ladies love the book this much, it must be amazing. and the premise is really interesting.

September 8, 2014 - 3:36 pm

Mawa Mahima - Oh, this sounds like it’s going to be absolutely great! I like main characters like her…and the wardrobe is amazing! I especially like the shoes, and the dog tag necklace.

September 8, 2014 - 3:24 pm

Tammy - I want to read Rites Of Passage because of all the wonderful early reviews I’ve read for it.

September 8, 2014 - 12:44 pm

Guadalupe B. - I want to read ot because I’ve never read military books

September 8, 2014 - 10:07 am

Brianna - I haven’t read many military novels, but this one sounds like a fresh perspective. Plus, you had me at secret society.

One of my cousins and I are about eight months apart and when we were kids, I idolized him. I followed him everywhere. Well, he had a pair of Doc Martens and I was in absolute awe because I thought they were the coolest shoes on the planet.

Thirteen Days of Ash and Fire: Heir of Fire (Arrows + Decor)

Shhh. I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I haven’t always, always been a wedding photographer. I technically went to college for Interior Design. Kari - I have read the first two books and have been dying for the third so I would really love to win! Thanks for the giveaway!

September 5, 2014 - 11:49 am

Alexa S. - I basically just want all of the arrow decorations you put in this post, M! They’re SO PRETTY. And they’re something I would consider including as part of my living room or library decorations one day. THANK YOU for being a part of the tour, and for the awesome bullet points. (And for being all CHAOL with me!)

September 4, 2014 - 10:51 am

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - YESSSS. I just finished yesterday and IT WAS SO AMAZING!
I really like arrows for décor and LOVE your choices! I always want to decorate my house like this but of course… we just have zero decorations at the moment (a year later LOL)

September 4, 2014 - 10:14 am

Brianna - I don’t normally read fantasy, but I’m trying to branch out and since this series has gotten nothing but rave reviews from everyone, it seemed like a good place to start.

A Glimpse Inside Lola’s Bedroom (#IslaIsComing)

You can learn a lot about someone by their room. Don’t you think? It’s been really fun to take the time to read Anna + Lola back-to-back for the first time in forever. Did you remember how super neat Anna was? (She can give Danny Tanner a run for his money.) Or how all-over-the-place messy Lola was? It’s […]

Nuzaifa @ Say It with Books - A gorgeous canopy and pretty wigs, I think I like this girl! 😀

August 16, 2014 - 11:42 pm

August 15, 2014 - 7:47 pm

Michelle Lee - Thank you so much for this amazing giveaway! I love a good romance and it’s been a series on my list to read. The cover of the series are absolutely stunning and beautiful! I don’t think it does the book justice! When I read the synopsis of the story I wanted to be whisked away to Paris and experience just like the characters haha. I hope I win so I can see how amazing Stephanie Perkins has written this wonderful story. <3 🙂

August 15, 2014 - 6:58 am

Sana // artsy musings of a bibliophile - Whoa, Lola’s room is something right out of India being so bright and all. I think I’ll like her.

So I guess now’s the time to admit that neither do I own any of the Perkins’ book nor I’ve ever read any. Oops.

I love contemporary and they do sound right up my alley. I even tried to read Anna last year but couldn’t get around to it. I do plan to read them this year, as well but let’s see.

Thanks for the awesome giveaway! =D

August 15, 2014 - 1:10 am

Cali W. - Thanks for the giveaway! Love that room and that hot pink desk. I love these books. <3

August 14, 2014 - 2:58 pm

Lola - I’ve heard so many good things about these books, but for some reason haven’t picked them up yet.
That bed and canopy in the picture looks gorgeous and just like Lola my room is usually messy as well. I do clean it up once in a while. btw I really like the new covers for this series, they are pretty!

August 14, 2014 - 2:30 pm

Summer - Now that I’ve seen Lola’s room, I’m more eager than ever to finally read these books. The bright pink desk, the classic movie stars on the walls, I’m thinking Lola and I will get along very well.

Kelly L. - All those pretty wigs!
If only I have the courage to wear one. ;D

August 13, 2014 - 8:01 pm

tabithasbookblog - Lola’s room is perfection!! It was actually one of my favorite parts of this book because it was one of those rare cases where the room described perfectly reflects the character. This room IS Lola. And that’s what is so great.

Have you read Isla yet? Her room is really great as well. Although it’s only described like once.

August 13, 2014 - 2:36 pm

MK - I am so excited for Isla!! Loved this post, cute concept.

August 13, 2014 - 10:49 am

Laura D - I absolutely adore this book series. So much so, in fact, that I lend them out every chance I get. It would be wonderful to have a nice, pristine collection of the three for my bookshelves, so I can continue to spread the love with a “traveling copy” for friends to borrow.

August 13, 2014 - 1:27 am

Arnie Arce - Am I the only one who haven’t read this beauties yet? I should dive in the books soon. Then share it to friends who haven’t read it yet too. (IF they haven’t read it).

The story seems great. Many positive reviews about the books. Can’t wait to read it all of it!

August 13, 2014 - 1:21 am

Amber @ YA Indulgences - This is my first time reading Anna and Lola. I finished Anna in about two and a half days. I’m reading Lola now and hope to finish tomorrow even though I don’t have Isla.

Oh my gosh! I love that you actually posted pictures of how Lola’s room looks. I recently read that section in the book and I was like “I would love that room”. I’m totally fawning over that canopy. How gorgeous! Maybe one day…

Alexa S. - I just LOVE that you chose to show us Lola’s room! It’s seriously the coolest thing to imagine, and a very creative way to pay tribute to a super creative character. I’ve got nothing but love for this series and Stephanie Perkins, so it’s certainly fun to be hopping around the #IslaIsComing posts and see what everyone has to say!

August 12, 2014 - 6:51 pm

Sandy - That canopy is gorgeous! The first time I read both Anna and Lola, I liked Anna more but I think I might be more of a Lola fan now. Either way, Stephanie’s books are so fun! 🙂

August 12, 2014 - 2:47 pm
