Hot Hot Hot: Cosmo + Harlequin Team Up for Red-Hot Reads

When I was in high school and college, I loved buying copies of Cosmopolitan.

Who am I kidding? I’ve been carrying the recent copy of Cosmo with Demi Lovato on the cover in my purse for a few weeks now.

Cosmo and Sylvia Day

So when I read the magazine and Harlequin were teaming up to release eBooks as part of the Red-Hot Reads partnership, I felt pretty enthused. I’ve been reading Harlequin books since I was too young to (thanks Mom for not noticing when I stole your paperbacks during our family road trips) and in the past 2 years, really rediscovered the fun associated with reading a romance series.

New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day will be the author of the first Red-Hot Reads releases which include Afterburn (ebook goes on sale TODAY) and Aftershock (sale date: November 12, 2013). The plan is for Red-Hot Reads to bring two new titles into the world every month.

Cosmo Red-Hot Reads Sylvia Day

Here are a few reasons why I am super psyched for this new venture:

♥  The main characters in these eBooks are super focused, driven ladies in their 20s. They worry about jobs as much as they do falling in love.
♥  There are sexy men.
♥  There is female companionship. (So important.)
♥  Did I mention these books are a bargain at under four dollars a pop?

So what are you waiting for?

Go and grab Afterburn today and be sure to add Aftershock to your wish list! November isn’t that far away!

Psst… just to let you know, I read a snippet of Afterburn and I could just find myself getting hooked. Think of a sexier Devil Wears Prada. Less Meryl Streep… more hot, semi-unavailable men.

What’s it about? Gia lands her dream job working for a super savvy businesswoman and just when things seem to be going smoothly (most of the time), a blast from the past turns up in her territory and she’s not so sure how to handle it. A long time ago, she fell for Jax completely but he wasn’t having it… what will happen if they start actually working together?

Sounds intriguing, right?
