Review Policy

Rather Be Reading is a blog that began because we, Magan and Estelle, just love books. We like to buy them, borrow them from the library, discuss them, and love to write about them. While we both read all the time, our specific tastes do vary.

We will happily accept advance reader copies in either print or egalley format. We can be found on NetGalley. We will accept requests from authors, publishers, and publicists to review books, interview authors, participate in blog tours, and share books with our readers via giveaways.

In the end, we want to have thoughtful and constructive reviews on our website that display just how much we love to read. Our main goal is to get others excited about reading as well. We will share our honest opinions of the books we read, and engage in discussions with our readers in our comments section.

Estelle loves reading:

  • Young Adult Contemporary
  • Adult Fiction
  • Memoirs
  • Middle Grade Books

Shannon M. Howell - Howdy!

First visit, but so far I’m really liking what I’ve found :)

I got here from a Google search for my “competition” (if you can call it that, since my goal is to help readers find good books, any site that does the same is hardly “competition” but try telling that to the SEO folks!).

Anywho, I’m really loving the tone you’ve set here so I thought I’d say so.

P.S. Sorry if this comment is a bit flaky… up late reading + up REALLY early w/small child = slightly silly & not terribly coherent.
