Shelve It: February 8, 2014 (Pepper Cameo)

weekly feature to share the books magan and estelle are adding to their bookshelves each week

Hello! I’m posted this a day early just because well, I feel like it. And it’s ready and here. haha. It’s been so long since I did one of these Shelve Its but I had to share the goodies that have been in my mailbox the past couple of months. (Oh god, time is seriously flying already.)

Big thanks to everyone who stopped by this week for the birthday giveaway! (It’s still going on so be sure to enter!) And of course all the little posts celebrating Magan’s exciting news. (Mom advice from the book community + guess the baby blogger!) It’s been so so fun to read your reactions to both of those.

Now on to the books (and a lot of cat tail…):

Saving Grace by Fiona McCallum (Thanks Mandee!)
Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed
Somebody Everybody Listens To by Suzanne Supplee (Thanks Ellice!)
Something Real by Heater Demetrios (Thank Rachel!)
Five, Six, Seven NATE by Tim Federele (Thanks Gaby!)
Past Perfect by Leila Sales (Thanks Hannah!)
The Wife, The Maid, and the Mistress by Ariel Lawhon (Thanks Cassie!)

Smasher by Scott Bly (Thanks Scholastic!)

In case you missed it this week:

The Sound of Letting Go (Review + Interview) by Stasia Kehoe
Maybe One Day by Melissa Kantor (Review)
Nailed It (Friendship Books!)

Thank you so much for all your support, enthusiasm, and sweet words this week! (And watching this Shelve It!)
Have a great weekend!

Hannah @ So Obsessed With - Yay vlogging and a Pepper appearance! I’m so happy you enjoyed Past Perfect (I know you’ve read it at this point hah!) and can’t wait for you to read the book from Cass. I loved that one, too! Added bonus: it’s so pretty in person!

Ellice - This vlog was so much fun to watch (and not just because you mentioned me in it! hahaha). You’re just the cutest– when I record myself, I just sound like a country bumpkin with my horrible accent 🙂

Pepper is adorable. He (she?) wanted a cameo in this month’s Shelve It!

Melissa @ Writer Grrl Reads - I think the simple act of you receiving a copy of Past Perfect is proof that karma really does exist! You are such a wonderful person for gifting that book that it came right back to you :). I’m stockpiling some contemporaries for summer reading this year, and I’m excited for both Leila Sales books!

Jessika @ Tangled Up in Reading - I love your videos, and it looks like you have some good reads coming up! I’m so intrigued by Somebody Everybody Listens To, especially with a blurb from Dolly Parton!

Alexa S. - I’m so glad to see you post another vlog, E! It’s always wonderful to see your face 🙂 You also got some pretty darn awesome books, including SOMETHING REAL which is awesome.

April Books & Wine - PEPPER!

I just get pumped about animals.

Aside from that, I really enjoyed Past Perfect, hope you like it!
