VeganYANerds - Estelle, this sounds like a fantastic book and I have no issue with the student/teacher aspect at all. Your review is fantastic and I love that you were thinking of the characters as real people, that is a great indication of the strength of this story.

December 6, 2012 - 6:03 pm

Jamie - Never heard of this one but you have me interested!

December 4, 2012 - 1:27 pm

Alexa Y. - The fact that you’ve already reread this book is a sure sign that this is a GOOD book, at least to me. I’ve always trusted your opinion, and so far, our tastes have been pretty similar. I’m definitely going to read this!

Estelle - JH’s other book “Don’t Let Me Go” was also M/M. It’s some of the most honest writing I’ve read all year, and she just brings down the house with this second book. I hope you’ll check it out.

December 4, 2012 - 11:33 am

Estelle - Thank YOU so much for giving me these amazing characters. I can’t say it enough.

December 4, 2012 - 11:32 am

Estelle - You really have to. JH can just suck you in. 🙂

J.H. Trumble - Were-leopard? Cracking up!

December 4, 2012 - 8:28 am

Christina (A Reader of Fictions) - Oh wow, I so didn’t know Kensington published M/M romance! I have way more respect for them for being open about that. Most pubs won’t touch it. Also, this doesn’t have a truly ridiculous cover like the M/M romance publishers. Also, not a were-leopard in sight, so good work.

Glad you loved it!

December 4, 2012 - 6:01 am

J.H. Trumble - I may have to read that book! LOL. Thank you for that AMAZING review Estelle. I’m so glad you liked the book. I’m kind of fond of it myself!

December 3, 2012 - 10:27 pm

elena - What a wonderful review! You & my other friend absolutely love J.H. Trumble so I must check out her books soon. I do have Don’t Let Me Go currently checked out from the library but haven’t really been in a reading mood. Must rectify that!

December 3, 2012 - 1:05 pm

Amy @ bookgoonie - Beautiful review & thanks for the heads up on the teacher-student warning and setting me at ease. I hadn’t heard a peep on this book. Thanks for putting it on my radar. I’ll definitely look out for it.

Adult Fiction Review: All Summer Long by Susan Mallery - […] I had heard the rumor that All Summer Long sizzled even more than the previous book in the Fool’s Gold series, Summer Nights. […]

August 5, 2012 - 10:47 pm

Melissa - Since July, I am reading All Summer Long right now & I am loving it!!

July 28, 2012 - 4:08 am

Stephanie G - Great review! Summer Nights was a fun story. I loved the dancing on the bar scene at the beginning. Fools Gold is such a great series. Susan is such a great story-teller and I absolutely love all of her books. 🙂

July 26, 2012 - 9:59 am

Tanya - Summer Nights is one of the best books I have read this summer! But then again, I always love Fools Gold. The playlist is awesome I love all tose songs buth what about THE Summer Nights anthem (you know the one from Grease) I know it’s not country but…I think it deserves an honorable mention. I can’t wait for All Summer Long to come out!!!!

July 23, 2012 - 10:42 pm

Estelle - Thx for stopping by Beccie! Your comment made me laugh. I should be starting her next book soon & I’m curious if she uses the same words… we shall see.

July 23, 2012 - 9:31 pm

Beccie Weaver - I’ve found that most romances I read lately all have the same sex scenes. I love Susan’s books so much but yes the scenes tend to sound cut and pasted

July 15, 2012 - 9:48 pm

Melissa - Summer Nights is a great summer read. Annabelle is caring, a great friend, & so sweet! I love that Annabelle wanted to learn how to ride a horse for her fundraiser for her bookmobile. I don’t want to give away anything. I love that there is so many surprises! There is 1 thing that I absolutely love a lot & it has to do with Shane, but I am not going to give it away. Summer Nights is my favorite book in the entire Fool’s Gold series!

July 9, 2012 - 1:22 pm

Dollie - I love the Fool’s Gold series, and your play list is AWESOME! I could totally see Luke Bryan or Jason Aldean holding a concert in Fool’s Gold. Your review of Summer Nights reminded me of how much I loved reading the book! My favorite part of Summer Nights has to be the ever growing farm 🙂

July 7, 2012 - 1:20 pm

Michele - I loved “Summer Nights” and the way Shane and Annabelle connected as friends and he didn’t even realize he was in love with her until she turned his marriage proposal. From cover to cover, this was a great book and for me, her books always end to soon. I can’t wait to read Charlie and Clay’s story in “All Summer Long”. I will be so sad when this trilogy comes to an end and we have to wait until next summer to get our fix again!.

July 6, 2012 - 4:34 pm

Tiffany - I love Susan Mallery’s books. I think this is a great read for those who love romance but want a great story to go along with it. Susan has built up her Fool’s Gold stories by building upon the town and it amazes me how they each stand alone but are perfect as a series too! I’d recommend buying this one and reading it again later.

July 6, 2012 - 7:07 am

Shannon - Fool’s Gold is addicting! Summer Nights was a perfect summer book. It should be on everyone’s must read list! Enjoy!

July 3, 2012 - 2:20 pm

Estelle - J, I think we need a sequel just about Shane.

July 3, 2012 - 2:20 pm

Estelle - S, let me know how you like the playlist! I really tried to capture the feeling in the book. Like utter hotness. ha

July 3, 2012 - 2:20 pm

Estelle - E, yep! The next book in the series is supposed to be even hotter. I got approved for it yesterday… and I’m scared. ha

July 3, 2012 - 5:18 am

VeganYANerds - I don’t read a lot of romance novels but this does sound fun! I like that there was a librarian and that she wasn’t stereotypical. I am wary of the way romance authors tend to overuse descriptions, but if it was only towards the end, I’m sure it’s not too bad!

July 2, 2012 - 5:12 pm

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - YAY FOR THIS PLAYLIST! I always like a good country recommendation, though I only started listening to it fairly recently. And this book sounds like a lot of fun! I’m definitely going to have to give this Fool’s Gold series a try 🙂

July 2, 2012 - 4:25 pm

Sharon @ Fictionally Inclined - A librarian and a cowboy? Yes, please! That pretty much guarantees any book a spot on my TBR list, regardless of plot, haha.

I’m excited to check out the playlist, too! I love listening to country music in the summer, so that will be perfect.

Great review. 🙂

July 2, 2012 - 12:17 pm

elena - Ooh, this book got you blushing? It must be really something then! Romance novels are fun and addicting. I mostly read historical romances but maybe I will branch out one day.

July 2, 2012 - 10:19 am

Jess @ Gone with the Words - I’m so happy you liked this one! It’s one of my favorite romance series and am always excited when my friends read them and like them. 🙂

Also, that playlist couldn’t be more perfect, Estelle!!! I’m going to listen to it anytime I feel like remembering the hotness that is Shane. 😀
