Attention, Attention: Welcome, Caller, This is Chloe

Hello again! Remember this feature? Well, it’s making its 2013 debut! And today I must talk to you about: welcome, caller, this is chloe. To this day, I still remember reading Magan’s review of this debut novel from last April. (That’s saying something because I’ve read quite a few.) She was so unbelievably upbeat about the […]

Jamie - I really think I’ll like this one!Definitely going to pick up for when I need a fun book! And what a cool job she has!

February 4, 2013 - 3:29 pm

Alexa Y. - This book was incredibly cute! I remember liking it, especially the fact that Chloe had to work at the school radio station. I think it’s awesome that she ended up with her own show 😉

elena - you guys were definitely the reason why i read this book! gosh it made me really want mexican food.

February 1, 2013 - 7:53 pm

Mary @ My Sisters Bookshelf - Loved this one! I reviewed it too!

But it was also like the fourth book in a row that I read with a red-headed protagonist. I want someone to analyze this. The proportion of red-heads in young adult literature is way out of whack. My sister loves this (as a redhead). I love Anne of Green Gables, but I think we need some mousy brown heroines too. It’s like people have red hair so we know they are quirky?

Happy very early Merry Christmas! I know I’d be a happy lady if a pile o’ books had my name on them this Christmas. What are you hoping for most? This has been the year I’ve had the most trouble making a list for my mom. I should just write BUY ME A BARNES & […]

Tara - You have inspired me to start reading adult fiction again 🙂 I need to spice up my reading list and you always review such great books that I can’t help but not add them to my TBR list.

August 5, 2012 - 8:18 pm

Louisa - This looks awesome! There really is something special about small town settings.

August 4, 2012 - 11:27 pm

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - One of the things I love about blogging is getting introduced to titles i might never have found on my own. This sounds really cute!

August 3, 2012 - 11:43 am

Mary @ My Sisters Bookshelf - This one sounds like too much of a squirmed for me (sometimes I thrive on the drama, sometimes it just stresses me out!) but I’m pretty sure my sister would love it so I’ll pass along a rec! She kinda lives for stories set in small towns – perhaps bc we are confirmed city girls?!

Side note: thanks for checking out our Robin Benway feature! I’m glad you liked it. I started a fan but now I’m a full on fangirl of hers! For our playlist today she sent me the HTML code and I just plugged it in – my grandmother (a frequent reader, obvs) wanted to know when I’d gotten so good at computers!

Blogging is so fun sometimes 🙂

Aneeqah @ My Not So Real Life - So I have a calendar that I use specifically for book releases, like every book lover does [at least it’s digital, making me less nerdy…]. And it’s absolutely insane how many awesome books are coming out in August!! Especially August 28th. It’s crazy. Estelle - Thanks for stopping in Leah! I featured Age of Miracles on one of my previous Big Kids’ Table posts. I loved that cover & I’m glad to hear that it was a worthwhile title. I have to get around to taking it out of the library. Thx for the suggestion!!

July 21, 2012 - 10:32 pm

Leah - Yay for adult fiction! Earlier in the year I received a review copy of The Age of Miracles (& it was released in June). SO utterly fantastic. It’s only a month old, so that still counts, right? 😀
