The Big Kids’ Table: 5 Adult Contemporary Picks (January)

Estelle here! Hope all of you have dove into some good reading already this year. I just completed my fourth book last night and so far so good. But I’ve heard some murmurings on Twitter and even just my own about finding some good adult contemporary books to try out this year. If you remember from […]

Mands - I love taking a break from YA to read some books from different genres, I might add some of these to my to-read list 😉

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - I love that you did this post! It gave me more books to add to my list of books to check out – and it’ll give me a great variety for the year.

Estelle - BC – Thanks for the comment! I just looked up More Like Her & people seem to really like it. I’m going to add it to my list too. I haven’t read any of Meg Cabot’s adult fiction yet but I’m going to have to look into it. (I should probably finish the Princess Diaries series first.) Thanks for the suggestions!!

Book Chic - Spin is on my TBR list as well since I got a random ARC of it. I also am looking forward to More Like Her by Liza Palmer (I have an ARC) and Meg Cabot’s upcoming new Heather Wells novel.

Estelle: Did This Year Fly or What? (2011 Survey)

Just as Magan did earlier this week, I’m joining the Jamie’s End-of-the-Year Annual Survey party! I must admit, this thing was a toughie to fill out! Before you jump into reading, just wanted to thank everyone who has been uber supportive of M & I since we have started RBR! It’s been great fun and […]

Lu - I loved The Princess Diaries books when I was in high school! They were so good. I also love the Love is the Higher Law cover. (The book is amazing too!)

Danya - I have The Gap Year on my TBR and have been wondering how good it is…sounds like I might quite enjoy it from your description!

Also, yay for The Hunger Games!! I love it 😀

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - I love you girls! I always get great book recommendations from your blog (though this results in many, many additions to my ever-growing list of books to read/buy/borrow) and I think you guys do great reviews!

It’s been so much fun getting to know you and discovering that we both have an affinity for Disney, books and pastries. I hope our meet-up happens soon so we can chatter on about books over dessert before popping into the Disney store (see what I did there?).

Most of the books on your list are either: (a) books I’ve read and loved as well or (b) books that are already on or will be going on my list. I trust your tastes, as well as Magan’s, so I add these titles without a second thought 😉

Sarah Ann Bird - Merry Christmas to ME! Thanks SO MUCH, sarah

Mands - The Jessica Darling series is great, I only heard about it this year via Anna Reads and I loved it (and cried a lot!)

And I’ve started visiting my new local library and I don’t know why I ever stopped because they have SO many books I want to read!

December 22, 2011 - 12:54 pm

Jana - I love these surveys! Seriously, I am finding more and more books to read! I wish we had done these in November, so I could have asked for a bunch of books for Christmas this year! I will quit with the exclamation marks now…

I need to read The Princess Diaries! I adore that movie beyond, and now that I know the book is even BETTER. Man, Amazon… here I come! SO glad you loved Hunger Games. 🙂 I’m going to look into The Gap Year. I’d never heard of it, but it sounds like a sweet read. I’ve been scared of Bumped, because I read from others that it’s got a lot of sex slang and it’s kind of weird. Did you feel that way at all? The premise really scares me. lol. North of Beautiful sounds SO GOOD! I’ve never read a Jennifer Echols (I had a friend in high school with her name) book. I think I need to now because of you two.

Ok, I need to stop writing now! I’m commenting on everything you posted! Haha. And thanks for mentioning me. 🙂 I adore this blog, and am so happy you have fun visiting mine!
