Alexa S. - Ooh, M, comparing it to Just One Day/Just One Year is a major draw for me because I loved that duo so very much. I haven’t heard all that much about Love, Lucy, but you can consider me intrigued after reading your review! I’m always partial to books that feature European countries, first of all, so that’s a big part of it. And then there’s the comp titles, which is another big draw. All in all, it sounds pretty cute. Might just have to check it out!

Emma @ Miss Print - I think I can help explain the Charlene part! This book is a riff on/retelling of A Room with a View which was set at a time when young unmarried women were expected to travel with chaperones (not friends) which I think in the original was an older aunt.

I love the idea of this one but I have to admit the more I see about it, the more I just want to re-read A Room With a View. If you haven’t read it yet I’d say you should definitely check it out!

Magan - Kim: Even if you didn’t enjoy JOD, I think you should give Love, Lucy a chance. It’s a different story with *similarities,* but I have to say the ending gave me a lot more peace than JOD did. They aren’t the same book, but I think readers could be fans of both books. 🙂

Magan - Meg: “armchair traveling” — that is the best phrase EVER. Committing that to memory. I definitely hope you enjoy it! The more I think about it, the more I like it! <3

Meg - Oh, this sounds like so much fun! And I’m all for armchair traveling, especially in the dead of winter. Will have to keep my eyes peeled for it!

Kim - But, but.. I hated Just One Day! :'(
But anyway, great review! I’m a little hesitant to pick this up, but it’s definitely one of the interesting ones. 🙂

Aneeqah @ My Not So Real Life - Magan, you are totally right about 2013 starting off with a huge bang! Seriously, I’m about to start drooling over all these pretties. SO many of these books are ones I’ve been waiting forever for, like Asunder, Prodigy, Everbound, and Through the Ever Night. I can’t wait to see what these sophomore authors have in store for us next with their second books!! I’m also really looking forward to The Archived. I’ve only seen gushing reviews of it so far, and it sounds so utterly unique. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Level 2 is also look fantastic! AND it’s written by a book blogger, so it really can’t get better than that. 😉 It’s going to be one of the few debuts that I preorder, I believe.

Thanks so much for putting this lovely post together, Magan! January 2013 is going to be fabulous!

Asheley Tart (@BookwormAsheley) - I want to comment on all of these books, but that would take forever. I *will* say that I’ve read Revolution 19 and it was fun. I JUST finished Prodigy and WOW WOW WOW. Also, since I base lots of my reading on covers (I know, I know, shallow Asheley?) I may have a tough time choosing from these because ALL of these covers are so great. And I already want to read them all. The beginning of 2013 is SUCH a great, exciting time to be a fan of YA!

Lisa the Nerd - Level 2! Level 2! Level 2!

Magan - Gaby – you’re such a sweetheart! These posts do take me a while, but that’s usually because wordpress decides to format things oddly and it drives me nuts. Haha! So happy you’re looking forward to so much. I swear I’ll spend all my Christmas money in January! 😉

Mands — I love the repackage too. I’ve only read one Caletti book so I’m definitely anxious for more!

Sara — I know, right?! SO much awesome!

December 29, 2012 - 8:45 pm

Magan - Me, too, Lily. There are SO MANY good books coming out!

December 29, 2012 - 8:26 pm

Lily - January is going to be such a good month for new releases I’m super excited… I just wish my bank account could say the same.

December 29, 2012 - 7:13 pm

Gaby @ Queen Ella Bee Reads - This list is AMAZING. I’m talking mostly about the fact that you compiled it. What’s on it is also pretty great. Not to mention, I’m excited about a lot of things on it, especially Just One Day, All You Need is Love, Then You Were Gone, Paper Valentine, Return to Me and Nobody But Us. Thanks for all the hard work! ^_^

VeganYANerds - 2012 really did fly by, I can’t believe it!

I got all excited when I saw Love Is All You Need, thinking it was a new book by Deb but then I see it’s a re-package. Still, I love the title and the cover!

Also, can’t wait for Falling for You – have just heard good things about it!

December 29, 2012 - 12:09 am

Sara (of the Page Sage) - Ah! Too many awesome books! I’m especially excited for Just One Day, The Archived, and Paper Valentine.
