Hello, friends! I have thoroughly enjoyed my Saturday — no plans to speak of and we successfully took down our Christmas tree. (Yes, I know what date it is, but ugh — things have just been so busy. Happy it’s down now, but so sad Christmas is over.) Anyway, back to books…
It was a pretty easy going week for me on the book front. I attended a signing for John and Sherry Petersik’s book Young House Love (Goodreads | Amazon) with my sister-in-law, Leslie, at Book People on Tuesday. SUCH a fun event — the place was packed, everyone was in great spirits, John and Sherry were so awesome to listen to, and we laughed so so hard. This book has 243 DIY ideas for your home with all the instructions and lots of pictures to guide you through how to do it. (And if you’re a DIY junkie like I am, this is music to your ears.) Also: If you’re not familiar with the Young House Love blog, please allow me to introduce you to the awesome.
Edit: I forgot to include the photographs we took from the Young House Love signing/tour. Don’t worry – that’s been resolved. Photos below. 🙂
While I was at Book People, I decided to purchase my copy of Just One Day (Goodreads | Amazon) since it was Gayle Forman’s release date. She’s going to be in Austin on January 18th at Book People so I’m happy to own a finished copy of the book to take along for the signing! (I AM GOING TO FANGIRL SO HARD. Austin people — who is going to this event?) If you’ve now read JOD, what are your thoughts? Are you in LOVE with it like I am?
