Alexa S. - Obviously, I’m going to need to read this at some point! You had me at retelling 😉 It sounds like such a fun book, and I really like the sound of the story. Kind of makes me think of Laura Florand’s Amour et Chocolat books (which are fun too)!

Brianna - I love long books and I love fairy tale retellings. This one sounds like a lot of fun!

Annie - Yay, I’m so happy you enjoyed this Estelle! I was crossing my fingers when I clicked on this review that it would be favourable. I’ve really been interested in reading this book for a really long time, mostly because of the cover but then I found it was like a Cinderella story and I got even more excited. Cinderella was one of my favourite movies as a child so any book that mentions Cinderella is a selling point for me. And shoes! Shoes are also a huge selling point haha 🙂 Great review! I’m so much more excited for this book now!!

Daphne - ooh, this sounds right up my alley. i tried a robin carr book years ago & couldn’t get into it, but maybe it’s time to give her another chance. i, too, love a book about bffs who fall in love & unrequited crushes finally being requited 🙂

Alexa S. - Even though I’ve taken it out of the library more than once, I have yet to read I’ll Be There. (I do love its cover though!) I did love Counting by 7s, so I have no doubt that I’ll like and root for the characters in the other 2 as well (when I do read them)!

August 21, 2014 - 11:42 am

Jen @Fefferbooks - Agree agree! But you knew that. 🙂 Good reminder that I need to go put Counting by 7s on the library hold list, though!

Magnolia by Kristi Cook (Character Gift Exchange)

Greetings, guys! Somehow it’s been 8 months since I’ve done an official character gift exchange? What? How is that possible?
