Leah @ The Pretty Good Gatsby - AAAAHHHH WHAT THERE’S A PREQUEL?!?! OMG ESTELLE. Seriously, drop whatever you’re doing & read The Girl You Left Behind. ;D you can thank me later. Really though, it’s amazing and incredible and gave me ALL THE FEELS.

Ellice Y - Oh my goodness, find me on Twitter after you read ME BEFORE YOU. I want to talk about this book! I finished reading it a couple of weeks ago– I can promise it will be one of those books that sticks with you for a long time!

Rachel @ hello, chelly. - One – you didn’t mention reading this! Two – I didn’t know there was prequel to The Girl You Left Behind (which I own but have yet to read). And three – YES READ ME BEFORE YOU. 🙂

Betty - Ha…. my beautiful red copy is sitting on my shelf glaring as well…. ugh!! I can’t believe I haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m actually more interested in the premise of The Girl You Left Behind!! Love that the novella is a prequel. I think I’ll check that out first to get a feel for whether or not the book would be a good fit. 🙂

September 22, 2013 - 12:50 pm

Hannah @ So Obsessed With - Eeeek! Well, I loved The Girl You Left Behind and so obviously I need to read this prequel! I’m so happy you loved it 🙂 Now, you’ve just got to read the full-length book that comes after it AND Me Before You!

September 21, 2013 - 10:25 pm

Bookworm1858 - I like the idea of checking out a novella before making the full commitment to an adult novel; it does seem like a really good idea to check if the author’s writing style clicks with you. Hope you enjoy Me Before You!

September 21, 2013 - 9:58 pm

VeganYANerds - Sounds good! I’d like to read more adult fic, I just never seem to get around to it 🙂

September 21, 2013 - 9:04 am

Cassie - You know my love for ME BEFORE YOU so this looks like a great quick read also!!! So glad you liked it! Gives me hope for more Jojo for you!! :)))

Meg - This read was definitely awesome escapism — and I’m more than ready for a vacation myself! I think I liked Savannah the most, though I’d imagine everyone could find a shade or two of certain characters in themselves!

April 2, 2013 - 11:07 pm

Hannah @ So Obsessed With - “The Best of Us is a book that is meant to be scorched in the sun, stained with your sunscreened fingers, and maybe even splashed with a little ocean water.” <– Um hello one of my favorite lines in a review + most convincing reasons to buy a book! I've read Pekkanen's first two books and really enjoyed them. Glad to hear this one was a good read, too!

March 29, 2013 - 3:17 pm

April Books & Wine - I’d totally do tequila shots with you. I’m always up for a good time.

Anyways.

I’m on the prowl for adult books, lately, I like YA but it’s not quite doing as much for me as grown up books (I FEEL LIKE A TRAITOR SAYING THAT) but seriously, The Best Of Us sounds up my alley. AND OMG I want an all expenses paid trip to Jamaica too.

Also. I am not sure I could read this book without picturing Dwight as Dwight Shrute from the office.

Maggie @ Young Adult Anonymous - Damn, must be nice! I’d love to whisk all my friends to a beach to celebrate my birthday. However, I’d pick a beach in Australia. 😀

March 28, 2013 - 9:52 pm

Cassie - Ah, Estelle, Estelle.. you’re killin me! This makes me yearn for summer and the beach <3.

This sounds like a wonderful read! CANT WAIT!

March 28, 2013 - 7:06 pm

Kailia @ Reading the Best of the Best - I love this review! My friends and I have been planning on going to Puerto Rico to visit my best friends grandma during college but I don’t see it happening any time soon. I think I am going to need to read this book!

March 28, 2013 - 2:00 pm

Alexa Y. - When I win the lottery OR when I create an app that sells for billions of dollars, I will totally sponsor our trip to Jamaica. Till then, I’ll leave you with this – I LOVE the sound of this book. I’m a sucker for books about friendship and reunions, so that’s really no surprise at all. I hadn’t heard of this one, but it does sound really good!

March 28, 2013 - 12:44 pm

Tara - While I can’t afford to pay for everyone to go to Jamaica, I still think we should all plan a group trip 🙂 This book sounds like a great beach read!

March 28, 2013 - 9:20 am

Maggie - I’ve read one Sarah Pekkanen, Skipping a Beat, and while I liked it I found it so frustrating that I’ve never been able to bring myself to read anything else by her. But this sounds good, maybe I’ll change my mind. Great review!

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - The title of this book immediately had me intrigued. And the plot is definitely original (to me) and you really liked it – this encourages me to go and check it out for myself!
