I Saw the Sign | Pub Date

I’m not going to be the person to ask you what your sign is, but something about horoscopes really fascinates me. I’m sitting here reading about Aquarius (who said Pub Date wasn’t educational), and I’m wondering how people decide which advice to trust, which traits really fall under the umbrella of this horoscope. I read […]

This Love Bug | Romance Short List - […] after vacation, accompanied me on a beer crawl, and kept me company on a “me night” (along with this beer). I always will equate romance novels with relaxation and a whole lot of fun. Thanks to these for […]

Alexa S. - I think horoscopes and zodiac signs can be utterly fascinating! I honestly don’t know how much stock I can put in them, but I do like reading up on them every now and again. I like the bit you put in for Aquarius – that’s such a powerful description!

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - Wow, that book sounds utterly amazing and moving. I’ll have to put it on my list!
That beer sounds delicious too. I’ll have to look for it next year! I’m already getting texts from my sister about pumpkin beer so I agree, we may have moved into fall territory already… (Although I had a watermelon beer in the hopes to cling to that part of summer just a bit longer. Even though I love fall I can’t rush it!)

Rebecca @ Reading Wishes - I am SO happy to hear you loved The Last Leaves Falling! YAY. *flails*

I’m Dreaming of a Summer Ale | Pub Date

Writing a pub date is like a little celebration. I always know I’m closer to the weekend. And here we are again. It’s been a hectic one, and there’s nothing I’d rather do more than talk about the beach and beer. At work the other day, my coworker asked where we go to swim around […]

Estelle - Amy, I hope you are able to pick it up soon. It’s amazing and always flies under the radar for some reason.

Amy - What a fun blog post idea! Books and beer… two of my favorites. I’ve never heard of Dreamland Social Club…thanks for the recommendation! Enjoy a gorgeous summer weekend!

Fireworks with a Dash of Cinnamon| Pub Date

What’s more all-American than beer, books, and Disney World? So excited to share today’s Pub Date especially as I prep (a.k.a. procrastinate) for a long weekend away — a much needed break that will hopefully included some brews. I’ll keep you posted. There’s no BEST time to drink beer (in my opinion) but I do […]

Alexa S. - That beer sounds delicious! And Summer of Yesterday was super cute. (Thanks for giving it to me as a gift!) Hope you had an awesome long weekend away!

July 10, 2015 - 1:50 pm

Lisa @ Reading, Writing, and Random Musings - I’m so intrigued with your brew selection. I am sooooooo not a beer drinker (I love my wine), but this sounds like it could be a possibility for me!

Leah - hahaha, oh E. The title had me convinced you were going to be talking about Cinnamon and Gunpowder!

Phone a (Meant to Be) Friend | Pub Date

We made it! Another week in the bag — and I hope it was a great one. I’m so excited for this month’s PUB DATE theme. We’re roping our friends (outside of the #pubdate square) to pair their own books and brews. Today I’m happy to feature Nisha, one of my closet friends and someone […]

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - Oooh I love the combination! And happy (late) birthday!!!
The beer sounds really, really good! And I just love Meant to Be. I really appreciated how Julia grew throughout the book. I need to re-read it soon!

June 2, 2015 - 11:15 am

Alexa S. - Oh, I love this book + beer pairing! It was great to read Nisha’s thoughts, and I hope she’s back on your blog more often 😉

Beginning to Taste A lot Like Christmas | Pub Date

Oh hey. I might have been a slacker in the last round of PUB DATE (Andi Maggie & Brittany got wedding themed) but I’m ready to celebrate the holidays with you and some wonderful brews. If you know me in real life (and perhaps follow me on Twitter), you know I relate more to Buddy […]

Alexa S. - I still haven’t read Bittersweet! But every time I see that cover, I think that it’s so pretty. Also, I can’t wait to be drinking more seasonal beers. I got a little bit more into them in the fall, and am looking forward to trying some winter ones!

December 12, 2014 - 4:49 pm

Ginger @ GReads! - Estelle, your comment about knowing what you had when you are younger is not exactly what you have now, really struck a cord with me. I can relate to this so much. I love the holidays and all its traditions, just like you, but it can be bittersweet knowing that things shift & change as we grow older.

Shiner Cheer is still my favorite seasonal brew, which reminds me I need to get some ASAP! I’m curious about this San Fran brew though.. might need to try it. And as always, LOVE anything Ockler writes 🙂

December 12, 2014 - 10:06 am

Andi - I must admit that I have never been a fan of the winter/holiday beers. But I am now determined to find one I like. I’m actually going to get one you mention and use it for my Pub Date. 🙂

And that book!!!! I ♥ that book muchly!

December 12, 2014 - 9:05 am

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - Calling me out on my lack of love for holiday beers! Actually, I think maybe I was just drinking the wrong ones in past holiday seasons. Maybe they were just good beers because everything I’ve tried so far this year, I liked! But seriously — Two Brothers Peppermint Bark Porter. That’s what it was called. I wish I liked chocolate mint because I bet that would be amazing! Though I’m not sure how far outside of the Chicagoland area they sell Two Brothers…
That beer looks delish and I REALLY need to read Bittersweet! I loved The Book of Broken Hearts and was disappointed by #scandal so I need to cleanse my Sarah Ockler palate!
