Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - Yes yes yesssssss I’m so glad you loved it too! I just thought this was so adorable. Super cute, super swoony and I LOVED the family dynamic too! I love brothers in books for some reason. I have no idea why. I also really just loved the tomboy aspect! I think it’s so cute and I identify with that more than girly things. I love Kasie West’s characters and her romances and her families and AH. I preordered this book too!

Alexa S. - Aww, yay, I’m glad you enjoyed On the Fence! It’s a super cute book, and, like you, I absolutely LOVED Charlie’s relationship with her brothers. (And seriously, I want five kids but I have no idea if I’m physically or emotionally capable of that yet. We shall see!) I haven’t read The Distance Between Us either, but I definitely want to!

Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook - I literally just finished reading this 15 minutes ago. I definitely liked it (and I could see how you would want four kids after having read this 🙂 ) but I wasn’t madly in love either. I didn’t like it as much as The Distance Between Us (you must read it asap!). Maybe I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind, but I wasn’t able to really, really connect to Charlie. I liked her, although it took some time for me to warm up to her, and of course I was rooting for her. But I don’t know, I just could’t connect.

There were some scenes that I just though were SOOO cute, though. Like when Braden and Charlie were playing soccer at the end. Too cute 🙂

Cynthia - I really loved The Distance Between Us too. I pretty much love all that Kasie West has written. Will be adding this one to my list! =)

Ginger @ GReads! - I really enjoyed this one, too! Magan, I highly recommend reading The Distance Between Us very very soon since you liked this book so much. I read TDBU last summer and immediately upon finishing I added On the Fence to my TBR list. I had to have more Kasie West contemporary in my reading life!

Re your comment about 4 kids: coming from a household of 4 girls, I can honestly say it’s the best. I wouldn’t change my large family for anything. Yes it was tough and not every moment was the best, but ultimately I am so grateful for my sisters.

Dee M - Estelle, I have to agree with you, I love the community in Fools Gold! Friendship, loyalty and love abounds in the town! I can’t wait for the next one in the series!

Melissa - Always love returning to Fool’s Gold. It is like returning home!! I love starting my summer reading a new Fool’s Gold book!! I love the relationship between Patience & Justice. I love Felicia, too. She is something, but I think she would be a great friend. Always there for you no matter what & that is the type of girlfriend we all need. I love Lillie. Patience has raised a sweet little girl & she should be proud of herself.

Melissa M - Great review and I can not wait for Two of a Kind!!

Shari - I love the Fools Gold series. Just One Kiss was wonderful. Childhood crush comes back. Mother with disabilities. A special someone for everyone. I think I want to move there.

Alexa Y. - I’m very intrigued by this series! I haven’t read anything by her yet, but I have her on my radar because of you. This story sounds pretty cute, and I’m always a fan of relationships that have history (even a sad one). I definitely need to check this series out and SOON!

May 28, 2013 - 8:07 pm

AngiMac - I love this series!! And I love that Susan writes so fast, there’s a trilogy set in this town every summer. Can’t wait for the next two bodyguards!

Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook - I have been wanting to try something by Susan Mallery for such a long time, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

It sounds like these books have a great, small town setting. I am always drawn to books with small town settings.

On a completely other note, his name is Justice? That’s kind of . . . odd, right? My TTT post tomorrow is all about weird names in books. If I had read this one, Justice definitely would have been on my list 🙂

Shannon - I am so glad I found the Fools gold books! In every book it feels like you are in them yourself! I love how she also starts to hint to you about whos story she is going to tell next. can’t wait for the next book!

charlotte sepulveda - To flash back to a 14 year old wold be oh so scary for this 50 year old. I loved my time as a child but oh never want to flash there if even for a few min. I love my life as it has progressed and makes me who I am. 🙂 As for Patience yep she sure needed a strong man in her life. All women need one or two strong people in their live she had it in spades with Justice, mom and friends.

Ginger @ GReads! - I think it’s ironic, and also awesome, that today’s Nook daily deal is the first book in this series! Especially after we talked about me needing to read these books. I love that you can pick up anywhere, not necessarily in order. I’ll definitely be adding this one to my tbr pile.
