Befriended with Corey Ann Haydu: Dedicated to Friendship

I’m so thrilled to share our second BEFRIENDED piece. I became an instant fan of Corey Ann Haydu’s when I read her debut OCD LOVE STORY last summer. Today (!!) her second book LIFE BY COMMITTEE hits bookstores everywhere and I am happy to say that I cannot choose a favorite between the two — I […]

Judith - So much love for this feature, ladies. Seriously, there is NOTHING I love more than friendships, and this one sounds sooo sweet. “LBC is about the scariest parts of yourself and the things that are difficult to talk about and the vulnerable places that you need to share and want to share and also desperately don’t want to share.” WANT THIS BOOK! What a lovely interview and friendship.

Alexa S. - I am so, so, so in love with this new series! It’s so fun to read about authors writing about friendships, and I love that you made a play on that. It was great to read this interview, and Corey and Honora both sound really awesome! Really liked Life by Committee too – could totally identify with Tab’s feelings.

Sana // artsy musings of a bibliophile - This interview is all kinds of awesome. Gah, I love it.

And yes, I agree with Corey that not all friendships are meant to last. However, the ones that last, like Corey and Honora’s, those are worth it.

I loved Life by Committee and Tab and basically, everything about it. And now I cannot wait to read OCD Love Story.

Jamie - Love this so much!! (sidenote: I loved Life by Committee and I can’t wait to talk about it on the blog! So much good stuff!)

I loved so much about this and feel like I could comment on every single thing talked about but one thing that really, really resonated with me is about how friendships aren’t always forever. It’s hard to reconcile that sometimes. I try to hang out. I think I need to fix what is broken but that really is the truth sometimes. Sometimes friendships really are only meant to be for a certain amount of time — at least in the same capacity. I need to be okay with that. Doesn’t mean I’m not going to try to make friendships work but I also need to be okay with however they evolve.

Sounds like an awesome bff-ship! Thanks for sharing, ladies! xoxo

Christina @ Allodoxophobia - LOVE this interview! I completely agree with the comment about Tabitha’s humanity. She’s every girl.
