Judith - Oh, Cress! I wish I could just sit here keyboard slamming my feelings, but that might not be the best way to write something coherent as well. But this book is just so good! I love how this series gets better and better with every book and how Marissa Meyer flawlessly adds more brilliant characters to the already large cast. I absolutely adore Cress, and Cress and Thorne, and Cinder and Kai, and Winter! I have a feeling Winter is going to be even better (don’t you love her already?!) and ahhhh. More please!

Lisa is Busy Nerding - IS WINTER THE END?!
I had no idea.

You did SO MUCH BETTER with your review than mine!
(told you so!)

Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook - Oh my gosh, I AM SO EXCITED TO READ CRESS! And yes, that needed all caps. I’ve been hearing that Cress is just as wonderful as Cinder and Scarlet and that makes me SOOO happy. I can’t wait to see how to handles the growing cast of characters and the whole world. So freaking excited.

Lucy - I’m going to have to read/listen this one and Scarlet back to back. I loved Cinder so I don’t know why I”m dragging my heels to catch up!

Alexa S. - I love how your review so perfectly describes your fangirl feelings towards Cress! My review, which I’ve just finished, devolved into fangirling… and it certainly didn’t do the book justice as much as yours did. Everything you’ve said here is an opinion I absolutely agree with! Cress was FANTASTIC, and I’m certainly looking forward to reading Winter (though the wait may kill me)!

Anna - LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT

Bailie @ The Hemborg Wife - Ahhhhhh I cannot wait to get this, I think I have to wait a bit longer for it to come out in Europe but I am sure I will read it in a day so a little wait is ok!

Amy @ bookgoonie - I can’t wait. Marissa is genius.

December 13, 2011 - 7:17 pm

Cheyenne Teska - Awesome choices! I haven’t read a single book on here but I do see some that I’ve been meaning to get to! 🙂

Magan - Hi Jessie! Awesome! Thanks so much for stopping by! =D

December 13, 2011 - 2:50 pm

Magan - YES! Jellicoe Road was so awesome. It did take me a bit to get into because of how the story was told, but in the end I was so hooked.
I can’t wait to hear what you think about Small Town Sinners. It was probably one of the most different contemporary YA novels I read this year because of how it was written.
I also 100% second Estelle’s choice on North of Beautiful. She recommended I read it, and WOW. I was on a plane crying through parts of it because it was so touching. Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂

Lucy - Awesome lists! Jellicoe Road seems like it is the gold standard in YA. Everyone loves it.

I loved the Summer series too, and hope to check out Small Town Sinners soon since I’ve heard good things about it.

The Wonder Spot sounds super good and so does North of Beautiful. Thanks for the gift recs and happy holidays!

Jessie - Forgotten made my list too. Thanks for sharing 🙂
