December 4, 2013 - 12:01 am

December 3, 2013 - 7:59 pm

Nicole - OMG I LOVE THESE TO PIECES!!!!! You are so amazingly talented I wish I could create something this lovely (i’ve never been the creative or artsy type). You should start an etsy shop or something. I would totally pay money for one of these pretties!!!!

December 3, 2013 - 7:02 pm

December 3, 2013 - 3:03 pm

December 3, 2013 - 1:32 pm

Maggie @ Just a Couple More Pages - These are super cool! I can’t believe you waited a year to share them with the blog world. My level of creativity is so low I can’t even come up with any good ideas for this year.

December 3, 2013 - 1:00 pm

Stormy - These are awesome! I was going to say I think the one for Cinder is my favorite but the more I look at them, the more I can’t decide. I do really love the one for Attachments with the paperclip! But they’re all so good. The Code Name Verity one is so pretty.

December 3, 2013 - 12:53 pm

Ghenet Myrthil - I LOVE these! You’re so creative. 🙂

December 3, 2013 - 12:34 pm

December 3, 2013 - 11:11 am

Julie@my5monkeys - Those are so beautiful 🙂 Love all the pretty covers

December 3, 2013 - 11:10 am

Lucy - You are so clever! What a fun gift idea for book lovers, and I bet they were fun for you to make as well. Thanks for sharing these! They are all awesome but I think Cinder, Love & Perishable, and Attachments are my faves.

December 3, 2013 - 10:54 am

Rachel - Estelle oh my gosh these are amazing!! I don’t have the patience for things like this, but I loooveeee looking at pretty cards. I absolutely adore the Tiger Lily one, and the one for Second Chance Summer. But seriously, SO AWESOME.

December 3, 2013 - 9:11 am

Meg - Such a clever, creative and lovely idea! You’re quite talented. I’m sure mine would look like something cobbled together by a kindergartner . . . very impressive! (Also, love the idea of sitting down with wine and a holiday movie to make these! That’s what I do with my Christmas cards each year. Think I’ll rock a good-and-cheesy holiday Hallmark flick for this year’s session.)

December 3, 2013 - 9:06 am

Ginger @ GReads! - I SEE MY CARD!!! I absolutely adore it Estelle.. even a year later 🙂 It’s hanging on my magnetic board at home, above my desk and I consider it art — because it is! I can’t wait to see what you create this year. I hope you’ll post pics again. These are so great!

elena - YAY!!! i love finally seeing all the cards together and i def treasure mine!! these are so pretty and creative. love the paper clip in attachments and watercolor of second chance summer and how you incorporated quotes!

Hannah @ So Obsessed With - I didn’t read this because I STILL haven’t read Cinder yet but I’m going to. I promise. Especially because you gave Scarlet a READ THIS NOW rating 🙂

February 3, 2013 - 4:53 pm

Tara - This book just left me with all the feelings! I loved how Cinder’s and Scarlet’s stories intertwined and I cannot wait for Cress. Thanks again for letting me borrow 🙂

February 1, 2013 - 9:21 pm

Kelly - I’ve only seen glowing reviews for this, which makes me want to re-read Cinder so I can be as prepared as possibly to enjoy it! And a brooding bad boy? My fate is sealed!

January 31, 2013 - 11:08 am

Cynthia - Dying to read this one!! I loved Cinder and can’t wait to find out what happens to her and Kai in this sequel. Also eager to meet these new characters, I’ve been hearing lots about Wolf. =D

January 30, 2013 - 7:30 pm

Suz @ A Soul Unsung - Oh wow! Now, I’m really super excited and can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of Scarlet, if it’s all of that and so much more! *g*

I know that I instantaneously fell head over feet for Cinder and broody boys are one of the best things ever written in fiction, true facts.

Fantastic review!

January 30, 2013 - 3:28 pm

Stormy - I cannot wait for this book. I thought at the beginning of 2013 that Divergent #3 was going to be my most anticipated book of the year, but at this point I realize, nope, I’m WAY more excited for Scarlet. And like you, I also always want more Kai!

January 30, 2013 - 3:27 pm

Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook - I couldn’t agree more with you about everything you just said about Scarlet. I loved how Meyer weaves these stories together. And Wolf was such an interesting character. I’m also not exactly sure how I feel about him. I mean, I love him, but also I am a but wary (and maybe even scared) of him as well. I hate waiting for Cress. And I have a long wait on my hands 🙁

January 30, 2013 - 2:18 pm

Annette - I kind of only skimmed your review, because I’m about 1/2 way through Scarlet — but I’m really excited to finish it! I’m loving it too!

January 30, 2013 - 11:02 am

Rachel - I haven’t read this yet (obviously), but the intertwined stories is what has me impressed the most/the main reason why I’m looking forward to this book. I liked Cinder, but I wasn’t the hugest fan of some of the characters, so I’m looking forward to having the same story from Cinder, with some new characters as well. Great review!

January 30, 2013 - 10:44 am

Alexa Y. - I absolutely loved Scarlet (and thank you again for letting me borrow it!). I think Marissa Meyer is wonderful writer, and I love how she’s turning these classic fairytales into something new and fun and modern. I can’t wait to get my hands on a finished copy – and to read the next installment when it FINALLY releases!

January 30, 2013 - 9:19 am

Janita @ Book, Interrupted - SO EXCITED! OMGOMG I just ordered this and it’s getting sent to me soon and I am freaking out so much. I just started reading Cinder all over again to prepare for the awesomeness. Everyone who has reviewed this has loved it! So glad that you liked it too! EEK!!

January 30, 2013 - 6:04 am

Lori - So happy to hear you loved it! I have no idea where she’s going to take us with this series and I love that.

January 30, 2013 - 5:47 am

Hemborgwife - I have had this is my amazon cart to pre-order for ages and this is really prompting me to actually make the purchase!

January 30, 2013 - 12:53 am

Bookworm1858 - I always want more Kai too! Jen Ryland/YA Romantics initially freaked me out, making me think there was a love triangle (with Thorne) but I’ve now read Scarlet and am relaxed on the Cinder/Kai front even if the evil queen is trying to get in the way. So glad to read someone’s thoughts who adores Kai like I do!

September 20, 2012 - 6:38 am

Lori - I agree with everything that you said! I was pretty apprehensive going into Cinder. Cyborgs and Cinderella? Uh..what? But OMG it works! I was swept off my feet. I’m so anxious for Scarlet now.

September 18, 2012 - 9:37 pm

Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl - YES! Magan, I’m so glad you loved Cinder! I adored this book the moment I started it, and I’m so excited by your review! It makes me want to read it all over again. I’m starting on Scarlet soon, and can’t wait!

September 18, 2012 - 12:34 pm

Jamie - I think I need to read this one because of your review PLUS so many of my most trusted bloggers are here in the comments raving! I just didn’t think it was a ME book.

September 18, 2012 - 2:13 am

Jess C - I also enjoyed Cinder. At first I thought Meyer was trying to trick us by making us think we knew what was happening, but I was to swept up by the story to notice.

September 17, 2012 - 10:53 pm

Seriously, I fell in love with Cinder, and I’m so glad that you convinced me that I should read it straight away. It is BRILLIANT. (And thanks for lending me Scarlet – equally brilliant!)

Everyone needs to listen to you and just read Cinder NOW.

September 17, 2012 - 7:08 pm

Kristen Evey - “You know those books you see pop up a TON on review blogs? You read incredible reviews for the book and add it to your TBR list on Goodreads, but somehow it takes you months to pick it up?

Yup, that was me with Cinder.”

This is still me. I even bought it. It’s sitting on my bookshelf looking pretty and enticing. It’s not that I don’t want to read it. I do. I want to read it A LOT! But, I want to savor it and don’t want it to be over. Haha. Doesn’t make sense, but, there it is. I keep telling myself once I’m done with my library books I’ll read it, but then I keep checking out NEW library books. Sigh. I will read it soon, I swear. Great review, btw!

September 17, 2012 - 6:46 pm

Jess @ Gone with the Words - *happy dance* It makes me insanely happy when someone loves a book I loved, but even moreso when I had the pleasure of giving that book to them!

Awesome review, Magan! As always. 🙂

September 17, 2012 - 5:51 pm

VeganYANerds - I so know what you mean and this book is the same for me, I’ve seen it around on so many blogs but part of me just didn’t think it was for me. However I do like the idea of a Cinderella re-telling that is original and the fact that the characters are well done makes this appeal to me. Great review, Magan, I promise to read this sometime soon!

September 17, 2012 - 5:35 pm

Magan - YAYYY, Anna! YIPPIE! This book evokes the happiest of thoughts in me, so I’m glad you feel the same way! 🙂

September 17, 2012 - 5:35 pm

Magan - Tara, it was totally YOUR review that screamed READ THIS RIGHT NOW to me. I had no choice but to pick it up after I read your review. (Thanks for that!) I hope you L.O.V.E. Scarlet!

September 17, 2012 - 5:34 pm

Magan - Holly, I decided yesterday when I went to the library that I’m going to create a modified TBR list on Goodreads — one that includes WANT THIS NOW books so I don’t have to scroll hopelessly through my list when I’m searching for things that strike my fancy. Please, please read Cinder soon!

September 17, 2012 - 5:33 pm

Magan - Rachel, YES — exactly YES to what you said. Maybe because it’s written in third person I felt like I knew more than the character did and it was kind of like keeping a secret? I dunno. Something about having the knowledge in advance just worked for me!

September 17, 2012 - 5:32 pm

Magan - Karen, I’m so glad you’re going to continue on with Scarlet. (It’s ah-mazing & I loved it just as much as Cinder). Hope you love it too!

September 17, 2012 - 5:31 pm

Magan - LISA! LISA! DO IT. As in soon. I loved it so, so much. Not one day — ASAP.

September 17, 2012 - 4:59 pm

Lisa - I am one of those blogger you’re screaming at to stop everything and read it now! Because it’s just sitting on my little shelf.

One day!

September 17, 2012 - 4:28 pm

Karen - I feel bad that I didn’t like this one as much as everyone else did. I didn’t dislike it – I just wasn’t as captivated as others seem to be.
Having said that, I’m still interested in Scarlett to see where the story goes.

September 17, 2012 - 4:19 pm

Rachel @ hello, chelly - I felt the same way about this book! I read it recently too and I wish I had read it much much sooner.

I also agree about guessing where things were headed. Usually I prefer being surprised.. but in this case, when my suspicious were correct I wanted to jump up and down in excitement. I loved being right, loved Kai, him and Cinder, so many to list.

Great review 🙂

September 17, 2012 - 3:06 pm

Holly - I am the same way! I actually still haven’t read Cinder! I always add books to my “want to read” list, but for some reason, when I go to the bookstore, I pick up 10 other books, except the ones on my list! But I’ll definitely have to pick Cinder up now! This was such a great review! 🙂

September 17, 2012 - 11:11 am

Tara - I was the EXACT same way with this book! I bought it at a signing ages ago and just recently got around to reading it. Why did I wait so long?! Now I’m just super anxious for Scarlet (hurry up February)! Such a great review Magan 🙂

September 17, 2012 - 10:58 am

Anna - I love it I love it I love it soooooooo much your review made me sing and dance a little in my head at my desk.
