Estelle + Magan: A Joint Shelve It from Texas!

These last few days, we’ve been together, reunited in Texas. Holy crap, you guys! It’s been amazing. But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Estelle left yesterday afternoon to head back to NYC and Magan spent the remainder of the day crying. Every time we see each other, we […]

Alexa Y. - GIRLS! It makes me so very happy that you are (well, were now, considering I’m commenting late) together in Texas. I loved the reunion, and that I could see you and hear you both on my computer. Miss you girls! Hope you had a FABULOUS time together.

Asheley Tart (@BookwormAsheley) - Stopping by really quick to say that I absolutely loved watching this the other night. I felt like I was watching TV or something with my Summer Shandy (I never watch TV). I was all comfy with my drink and watching my pals and I was smiling and text-bombing poor E. It was a good time for me. I loved it. I’ll be back later for a real comment-bomb, I just wanted to say high again and I loved seeing you two on the same screen again. You both are so lovely and I love hearing your voices at the same time. So much fun! I made Mike stop listening to youtube and watch for a second and he was all WHAT!? – he just didn’t really GET IT. Haha, men. xo

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - Awwwwww I know how you feel! I cried at the airport after BEA just leaving all my blogging friends (and Alyssa in particular!!) and it’s just so hard to say goodbye to your close friend not knowing when you’ll reunite again! But I’m so glad you guys got to spend some great time together and I love seeing the two of you in one video! Very fun ๐Ÿ™‚

Melissa @ Writer Grrl Reads - Aww — you two are SO adorable!!! I love seeing videos of the two of you together :). I’m a recent Levithan fan, but I’m going to check out the one you recommended, Estelle. After Fingerprints, I trust your recommendations sooooo much!!!

Hazel - It’s so nice to see the two of you together in a vid!!! Magan, I’m so happy to hear you loved the Shatter Me series. It’s one of my fave dystopians. :’) And your foster daughter sounds really adorable!!!! Estelle, I love the books you mentioned. I’m so excited to get to read them. I’m quite a fan of Levithan myself and I really do suggest you read Everyday already! Great post, you guys!! <3

Shanella - I started reading this book on Pulseit but didn’t have time to finish. I was only about 10% in and didn’t get hooked, but I did see it had potential. I’m glad you liked it, this means I can put it on my TBR shelf ๐Ÿ™‚

July 24, 2013 - 11:38 pm

Racquel - I didn’t want to read OCD Love Story because it seemed to cutesy for me (from my comments tonight, we learn that Racquel is really judgmental lol) but when it was released and all the “happy book birthday” tweets and reviews rolled in, I read a review that also said the book is more than the summary and cover and that it made them uncomfortable and they had to put it down too so now I really want to read nothing but THIS book. I already ordered it and I can’t wait to get back to the US so I can read this one and Wild Awake.

July 23, 2013 - 2:37 pm

Tara - I keep seeing this book pop up everywhere but I don’t think I’ve seen it compared to Wild Awake before. I absolutely loved Wild Awake, so now you’ve totally sold me ๐Ÿ™‚

July 23, 2013 - 9:57 am

Asheley Tart (@BookwormAsheley) - OH WOW. Okay, definitely moving this one up. I have it out as one of my “next-reads” but you have me like all goose-bumpy that I need to start it TODAY. (Did I just creep you out? I hope not.) Anyway, meeting this author and getting to talk to her in NY about her experience writing this book was really awesome but I also enjoy watching her tweet about her writing experiences. I know she’s tweeting NOT THIS BOOK but a newer book, but I still love how she thinks so deeply about everything and wants to make her words just-so and make it WORK. I can tell that applies here, in retrospect too. And this cover, it just pops, but to me it pops in a way that I expect it not to be bubbly. I don’t know. I already was super excited to read it but wow, I think you may have rearranged my pile today, E. That’s awesome.

Any @ bookgoonie - I don’t always want to pick up these deeper, challenging books BUT I always love them when I’m done. We need to see all these examples of messy lives.

July 22, 2013 - 9:49 pm

Bookworm1858 - I really enjoyed this book-it was so painful at times (I had to step back from the story a few times as well) but so worth it. Bea had so many facets and was such a lively personality-I loved getting to meet her and hope others will too!

July 22, 2013 - 8:09 pm

Alexa Y. - I think I really need to read this book, and I love that it’s so conveniently out tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜‰ It sounds like the main character’s issues are really tackled in a unique, intelligent, believable way, and I like the sound of that quite a lot! Bea seems like she’d been a very interesting character to read about.

July 22, 2013 - 3:33 pm

Anna - Oooh, I know what I’m reading next!

July 22, 2013 - 12:22 pm

Hazel - Will definitely read this!!! Bea seems interesting and I can’t wait to find out her story for myself. Awesome review!

July 22, 2013 - 12:04 pm

Natalie @ books, etc - The fact that you compared the experience of reading this book to how you felt reading Wild Awake has me even more excited to read OCD Love Story! Wild Awake was fantastic, and if this is anything like this I know I will be falling in love with it. And I love the cover of the book, even if it is a little misleading!

July 22, 2013 - 9:48 am

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - I am so, so glad that this cover is misleading haha. I’m just so happy to hear that this isn’t really a bright and happy story. It sounds like the author does it justice and that makes me even more excited to read it! ๐Ÿ™‚
