Shelve It: September 15, 2013

Hi all! Hope you are having a great weekend so far. I think fall is finally happening in New York City. After a few days of crazy humidity, we’ve had our apartment windows open and it’s actually COLD at night and in the morning. Kind of insane. What’s also kind of insane is that James […]

Hannah @ So Obsessed With - Basically, what I took away from this is that you bought NOWHERE BUT HOME (yay!) but still haven’t read it yet (boo!). So, let’s make that happen. I mean, Zac Efron is involved so it’s a serious promise you made.

Alexa Y. - I can’t wait to get back and feel the fall weather! It’s always been my favorite of the seasons, with summer coming a close second. So excited. Also, the cover for Vintage Attraction looks great! I can’t wait to see your thoughts on it.

Lucy @ The Reading Date - Glad you had a nice trip to The Hamptons. That’s a gorgeous shot.

I picked up Sad Poets recently too and I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying it. Vintage Attraction is new to me, and I’ve been meaning to start Nowhere but Home. (so many good books to read!)
Just started reading Between Us. Hope you’re liking it.

Enjoy all your new books!

Maggie @ Just a Couple More Pages - Great picture! You guys picked a great day to come out this way, the weather was amazing yesterday. I’m excited to read Something Real. I was so disappointed with You Look Different in Real Life and I’m hoping Something Real, which sounds somewhat similar, will be better at living up to my expectations. Have a good week!

Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook - I’ve never been to the Hamptons, but that photo is beautiful. You weren’t kidding about the clouds!

The weather has been very fickle in CNY. One day the high is in the fifties, the next day the high is in the 80s. But I think fall is pretty much here now. It’s definitely cooler and night and in the morning. I love it!

I like to read non-fiction every once in a while, too. I LOVE Steve Sheinkin who writes middle-grade non-fiction. He’s written Bomb (which won a zillion awards this year), The Notorious Benedict Arnold (which also won a whole bunch of awards) and Lincoln’s Grave Robbers (which I haven’t read yet, but will sometime soon).

Anyway, enjoy your books.

Jen - WOOAH. I love the cover for Vintage Attraction, but I read the synopsis and I’m not sure if it’s my type of read. I’ll be looking forward to your review! And Something Real sounds really good, I can’t wait to see the cover for that one! Happy reading!

Lisa (heylisarenee) - I seem to remember you saying something about your college closing your sophomore year…did you blog about that before? Or am I just a REALLY good stalker?

And another Echols book?! I need to keep up with her awesomeness!

Bookworm1858 - I got Something Real from NG too-I’m really excited to check it out and curious as to what the cover will look like!

Rachel - Ohh, I forgot to tell you! I read Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets after that event and really liked it! It was different than what I’m used to, but in a good way. You should tell me what you think when you finish.

Your pictures of the Hamptons look gorgeous! When I come back and visit you’ll have to take me there 🙂
