Cynthia - I’ve had this book in my tbr pile since it came out years ago, for some reason I keep skipping it. I’m glad you enjoyed it a lot though, it made me want to move it up to the top of my pile. Will definitely read it soon. Thanks for the review Magan!

Maggie @ Young Adult Anonymous - The name reminds me of The Cutting Edge. “I don’t like to see her upset.” “If I was you, I’d invest in blindfolds.” Ah, DB Sweeney. ANYWAY, I should definitely try Ally Carter, yes? I always thought her books were more middle grade for some reason. The premise of this looks fun and cute. I’ll definitely have to give this a try.

Hannah @ So Obsessed With - The fact that you and Elena both enjoyed these books makes me really interested in them! I haven’t picked them up before because the covers look a little juvenile to me, but I’m glad to hear you recommend it! Plus, I do love the idea of a book about a family of thieves.

VeganYANerds - I keep meaning to try some of Ally’s books, all I hear are good things so thanks for sharing this review, it’s another reminder that I should read this series in 2013!

Laura @ the Booksmartie - Thanks so much for making me totally excited for these books! I’ve always wanted to try Ally Carter’s writing and I even have the first three High Society novels on my shelf – now I guess I know what I’m going to read next 🙂

Renae @ Respiring Thoughts - I finished Heist Society yesterday and Uncommon Criminals today! Wonderful books.

I read a lot of angsty, dark contemporary personally (it’s my favorite genre), but these were a really nice change of pace, like you said. And oh boy, the subtle romance between Kat and Hale? PERFECT! (it gets even hotter in Uncommon Criminals, by the way).

I haven’t read Carter’s other series, but they didn’t seem to be quite as interesting as the Heist Society books. I’ll have to remember what you said about them and compare notes! 🙂

Chrystal @ Snowdrop Dreams of Books - I still need to read book three, but I adore this series. 🙂

Kailia @ Reading the Best of the Best - I am SO glad you loved this book! I have yet to read book 3 but they get better and better. I agree: Ally Carter’s writing improves with each and every book she writes!

Tara - I’m such a huge fan of this series! I must get the third book stat and see what Hale and Katarina get into next. So glad you enjoyed this 🙂

Alexa Y. - I must admit that I’m really curious about this series! The heists and capers that they seem to get up to (or probably do, based on what the story seems to be about) are probably a whole lot of fun. And I’ve definitely heard a LOT about Kat and Hale.

Janita @ Book, Interrupted - I love this series. I just bought them all so I could reread the first two books and then start the third one. I read the first Gallagher Girls book ages ago, wasn’t the biggest fan, but this series is incredible. Great review! Btw I’m in LOVE with your blog design 🙂 It’s so quirky and adorable!

April 1, 2013 - 1:22 pm

Annette - I like this series better than Gallagher Girls too. Somehow it just seems more mature? Even though both series are kind of silly. I love these books. Great review!

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - So glad you liked this!!! I’ve only read the first book so far (on audio) and it was just so much fun. AND the nice little interactions with Kat & Hale 🙂

Bookworm1858 - Oh I love Hale so much-I really need to pick up the third book as it is my understanding that there are some really good bits with him in it.
