Amanda @ Late Nights with Good Books - I agree about not rushing through this book. Taylor’s books are written in such a way that they should be read slowly and savored. There’s so much going on in them and the language is beautiful. I am glad that reading Days of Blood and Starlight was such a positive experience for you! I can’t wait to read it myself!

Melissa @ Writer Grrl Reads - Such a fantastic review … as usual! I’m SO excited to read this one, and even more excited to hear that it surpasses the first book! Eagerly waiting for my copy to arrive at the library =)

Lisa [is busy nerding] - So my heart is basically bursting to hear that this does NOT suffer from middle book syndrom!

I totes agree that taking your time with this book is totally the way to go. I CANNOT WAIT.

Lori - I felt the same way! I loved it even more than the first one. I read it slowly and savored it as well. Now I need book 3!

Kelly - I just don’t know how my heart is going to take this. She can’t hate him forever…right? I’m so excited to start this. As soon as my copy gets here in the mail, you can pretty much count me out of action until it’s done!

tonya. - love this review, and your blog setup. so cute! 🙂 i know what you mean about not being able to get through Laini’s books quickly; she writes the kind of prose you just want to savor. and i totally agree about second books being iffy usually; this blows every middle book out of the water.

elena - AGH this review! love that you put bullet points in this one because that is VERY helpful. i have a heard time imagining if akiva and karou’s relationship can be rekindled either, it looks pretttty dire. i read this pretty quickly but wish i soaked up the little details more because laini taylor is such a fantastic writer. LOVE this review. <3

Morgan - I just started this last night (darn Electon results delayed me a day!) and just the first few chapters reminded me of why I love her writing style. Her ability to craft a story is incredible – and yes, I totally understand the HP comparison. I am so excited!

Jess @ Gone with the Words - YES!! Yes, yes, yes! I feel the same way about this book. I fell in love with so many more characters this time, which really says something about Laini’s skills. Her writing is something else. Great review, Magan!!
