A few times I mentioned having friends that are just getting into reading. They read The Hunger Games or some other popular young adult book and now they’re hooked. The […]

Lori - I love everything about this post! There’s still several on there that I haven’t read! Delirium is one of my favorites, though. I think The Dairy Queen series would be a great choice and Leila Sales’ books!

Jess - Like everyone else I really like what you did with the graphics. I think this list is also great for people who are unsure about YA. I want to read Meant To Be.

Kim @ Curious Tales of Modern Lore - I LOVE this list! WHat an awesome idea! I live by the philosophy that every person on my gifting list each Christmas should be given at least 1 book, but I often have the hardest time picking up books for others.. Thank you for the suggestions!

Lisa the Nerd - SUCH a good list.

Candace - This is a great list! I’m with Cynthia in that anything by David Levithan and John Green tends to be popular with non readers. It seems I’m constantly giving their books as gifts. Divergent is definitely a great one as well!

For boys, middle grade and up, I suggest Nick James Skyship Academy books. I liked them a lot but the whole time I was reading I was imagining how much my nephews would love it and they did! They aren’t big readers, but I’ve introduced them to some series they fell in love with.

This is an adorable post! LOVED it!

Jen - I can’t even handle how adorable this post is. Like Anna said, LOVE the graphics. Your blog is too cute for words. I love this list and have read every book except The Survival Kit and My Life Next Door (I KNOW, what is wrong w/ me?) But I will be sharing this list with some of my non-reading friends and forcing them to pick and choose which ones they’ll need to be devouring in the near future.

WONDERFUL list, ladies <3

Cynthia - Love this! ! I’ve had Bunheads on my tbr pile for about two years and haven’t read it yet. Must do that soon! I think I would recommend Divergent, Delirium and anything by David Leviathan and John Green. 🙂

Ginger @ GReads! - For the Hunger Games fan, I usually point them to Delirium or Shatter Me next (if they haven’t read Divergent yet – but that one is gaining popularity very quickly with the “non-readers” too!) Lately for my adult friends who love contemporary novels, I’ve been suggesting Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. It seems to be a good fit for a lot of new readers!
