Leah - “…an artist who secretly makes erotic dolls for extra income.” Say no more; I’m sold. ๐Ÿ˜€

Seriously though, fantastic picks! I’m especially intrigued by The Truth About Love & Lightning. & although Chevalier and Moyes are both familiar names, I have yet to read any of their works. It seems like now is as good a time as any to check them out!

Last month I read Hikikomori and the Rental Sister by Jeff Backhaus (its release date was just a few days ago) and I loved it. It’s not the type of novel I usually grab, but once I started reading I couldn’t stop. After the death of his child, Thomas shut himself inside his bedroom, refusing to come out or spend time with his wife. Three years later, Silke is at her wit’s end and seeks the help of a ‘rental sister,’ someone experienced in dealing with hikikomori – those in self-isolation. The book is EXTREMELY character-driven and the writing is absolutely beautiful. ๐Ÿ™‚ Definitely worth a read.
