Jessica - Hi Estelle and Magan,
Thanks for the shout out to diversity. These books are truer to life and more entertaining than the mainstream books. You might want to look at Closing the Book on Santa Claus by Ron Chandler. One of the main characters is Ben, an African-American man who loses his home in New Orleans to Hurricane Katrina. There is also a Latino family in the book. Our entire family enjoyed it.

Rebecca @ Reading Wishes - Awesome post 🙂 I interviewed a librarian for DID early in the year and it was definitely interesting, especially hearing from an Aussie librarian. Loved this and love that Pamela is spending more money on diverse books, instead of more popular titles. Brilliant.
