carol baldwin - Enjoyed your review of this entertaining book. I googled, THe Cardturner + Teens or Adults and I came to your blog. As an adult who knows a smattering of bridge (but certainly not enough to speak bridge gibberish) I was wondering how a teen reader would like this book- or not. Glad to hear you did! Thanks for the good review.

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - Interesting. That’s what this book sounds like to me. I don’t think I would have picked it up if I had seen it in a bookstore – but your review changed my mind. I’m curious enough about it (and bridge) to give it a try!

April Books & Wine - Yeah, I know nothing at all about bridge either except the stereotypes I have in my head. I won a copy of The Cardturner a LONG time ago and still have not got to it. I’m glad to hear that although it’s kind of slow that it has the old school YA feel, I’m actually looking forward to reading it even more! 😀

VeganYANerds - This sounds really interesting, Estelle, and I know nothing about bridge! But, I did read Holes late last year and I enjoyed Louis’ writing style. Hopefully my library has a copy of this as well because I am a real fan of books written from a guy’s perspective!
