emily - I have read this and don’t like it. It pulls you in deep until you can’t even think anymore and it’s all too dark. It’s all misery and sadness and it doesn;t make you feel anything else. No thrills or excitement. Not one that I would reccomend.

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - Oh, this sounds absolutely BRILLIANT. I really want to read it!

Estelle - April, YES! Read both! Soon! True crime is not something I gravitate to at all so it’s nice to know it can be done without turning into a Lifetime movie, which I was afraid of. Thanks for the comment!

April Books & Wine - I love that I have both books mentioned sitting in my house — Mr. Death’s Blue Eyed Girls AND In Cold Blood. LIke, I actually find true crime and crime books to be fascinating, but rarely read them with my steady YA diet. And while MDBEG is fictional, it sounds like it’s a fantastic read and not very shallow or anything – which I LOVE.

Jess @ Gone with the Words - GAH!!! I had a feeling this one was going to be really good. Your review has totally vindicated this feeling and now I can’t wait to get to it!! Amazing review, Estelle! 🙂

elena - I have In Cold Blood or…at least, I think I do? I read Breakfast at Tiffany’s by him but not anything else. I’ve always thought the synopsis of In Cold Blood was vastly interesting though. So by comparing this book to In Cold Blood, you’ve piqued my interest. This book sounds like the kind that sticks with you, it seems so startlingly real. The emotions were palpable even from your review. I’m going to add this to my TBR. Thank you for such a beautiful review, Estelle. 🙂

Estelle: In My Mailbox (3/18/12)

Hello there! It’s Sunday, and that means it’s time to find out what books I bought (even though I wasn’t supposed to buy  any again) and some of my upcoming reads as well. Hope you all had a great week, and looking forward to some fun books of your own. (Sidenote: the weather is supposed […]

Jasmine Rose - I’m really excited for Bumped. I loved the lighter dystopian aspect of it. I love dark dystopians, but a light, funny one was a good change.

Alison (AlisonCanRead) - Great set! I really want to read Wanderlove. The Echols book looks good too. Enjoy!

VeganYANerds - Yay, great books this week! I really need to go out and buy Wanderlove because the reviews I’ve read have been fantastic

And I like the cover of Supergirl Mixtapes, very cool! And I’ve wondered about Bumped, I might give it a go.

Melissa - Awesome bunch of books! I couldn’t get through Bumped — I found it super confusing, especially with the terminology. But I loved the Jessica Darling series. It’s always interesting how the same writer can write books that I love, and books that I didn’t love. But that’s one of the wonderful things about reading, right? Enjoy your new books!
