Estelle: In My Mailbox (1/22/12)

Greetings all! Decided to throw my hat into the ring & record a v-log for this week’s In My Mailbox, which was started by Kristi a.k.a The Story Siren. Be sure to check out her latest too! Enjoy! (Hope it’s not too long… it’s my first one and I have no idea what I’m doing!) […]

VeganYANerds - Great vlog, Estelle!

I keep seeing Susane Colasanti’s name everywhere and I’d like to try a book by her.

I really hope you love the Book Thief, it’s a beautiful and sad story.

We are all such bad influences with books, every time I read a blog post I add another couple of books to my list. We will be reading forever!

Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl - Yay! I love vlogs! It was so fun to see Magan last week, and now you!! I know what you mean about being in a book slump. I had to force myself through the last two books I read. I’m hoping to pull myself out of it ASAP. We had a blizzard all weekend, which is awesome reading weather… and I failed. Lame!

Austenland is actually the first book I ever reviewed. Ever. It was my first post on The Broke and The Bookish like… a year and a half ago. Haha. I had to have it be my first post on That Artsy Reader Girl because I’m nostalgic like that. I really loved it! I hope you do too. 🙂 And what a good deal! Beauty Queens has caught my eye several times, so I need to try that one out. And I’m scared to read That Princess Diaries because I hear the movie is so much better. What do you think? And I love that you have show posters on your wall! I swear, that just screams to me that you’re a New Yorker. 😛

Well, it was so fun seeing your lovely face tonight! I’ll have to do a vlog as soon as I have something worth talking about. 😛

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - Congratulations on your first vlog! 🙂

I’ve read Austenland, and I thought it was pretty cute. I’m curious to read the next book, Midnight in Austenland! And I’ve also read Beauty Queens, which I thought was pretty entertaining because I didn’t totally take it seriously, lol.

I’ve been meaning to read The Book Thief as well. The book is staring at me right now from my book pile, so hopefully I get around to it soon.

On a totally unrelated note – I LOVE the prints/posters framed on your wall. Wicked is one of my favorite all time musicals.

And one last unrelated note – I can’t wait till we meet in person! 😀

Mands - I’ve never read this book and I’ve only seen the movie once but I think it would be a fun read from the sounds of your review.

A series of 10 books might put me off too but I read the Pretty Little Liars series, I think there’s about 9 books and they were super quick to get through.

Hanna - Ahh, I adore these books! I haven’t read them in years and years, since long before the film came out, but it might be time for a reread.

My only problem is that since they’re so short, I’d feel guilty including them in My Books Read This Year list. I know, it’s a hard life, right? 🙂

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - I read this about a year ago, but definitely way after the movie came out – and I actually liked it too. I thought Mia’s adventures were a lot of fun to read about 🙂
