emily - I have read this and don’t like it. It pulls you in deep until you can’t even think anymore and it’s all too dark. It’s all misery and sadness and it doesn;t make you feel anything else. No thrills or excitement. Not one that I would reccomend.

Estelle - April, YES! Read both! Soon! True crime is not something I gravitate to at all so it’s nice to know it can be done without turning into a Lifetime movie, which I was afraid of. Thanks for the comment!

April Books & Wine - I love that I have both books mentioned sitting in my house — Mr. Death’s Blue Eyed Girls AND In Cold Blood. LIke, I actually find true crime and crime books to be fascinating, but rarely read them with my steady YA diet. And while MDBEG is fictional, it sounds like it’s a fantastic read and not very shallow or anything – which I LOVE.

elena - I have In Cold Blood or…at least, I think I do? I read Breakfast at Tiffany’s by him but not anything else. I’ve always thought the synopsis of In Cold Blood was vastly interesting though. So by comparing this book to In Cold Blood, you’ve piqued my interest. This book sounds like the kind that sticks with you, it seems so startlingly real. The emotions were palpable even from your review. I’m going to add this to my TBR. Thank you for such a beautiful review, Estelle. 🙂
