Meg - This read was definitely awesome escapism — and I’m more than ready for a vacation myself! I think I liked Savannah the most, though I’d imagine everyone could find a shade or two of certain characters in themselves!

Hannah @ So Obsessed With - “The Best of Us is a book that is meant to be scorched in the sun, stained with your sunscreened fingers, and maybe even splashed with a little ocean water.” <– Um hello one of my favorite lines in a review + most convincing reasons to buy a book! I've read Pekkanen's first two books and really enjoyed them. Glad to hear this one was a good read, too!

April Books & Wine - I’d totally do tequila shots with you. I’m always up for a good time.

Anyways.

I’m on the prowl for adult books, lately, I like YA but it’s not quite doing as much for me as grown up books (I FEEL LIKE A TRAITOR SAYING THAT) but seriously, The Best Of Us sounds up my alley. AND OMG I want an all expenses paid trip to Jamaica too.

Also. I am not sure I could read this book without picturing Dwight as Dwight Shrute from the office.

Maggie @ Young Adult Anonymous - Damn, must be nice! I’d love to whisk all my friends to a beach to celebrate my birthday. However, I’d pick a beach in Australia. ๐Ÿ˜€

Cassie - Ah, Estelle, Estelle.. you’re killin me! This makes me yearn for summer and the beach <3.

This sounds like a wonderful read! CANT WAIT!

Kailia @ Reading the Best of the Best - I love this review! My friends and I have been planning on going to Puerto Rico to visit my best friends grandma during college but I don’t see it happening any time soon. I think I am going to need to read this book!

Alexa Y. - When I win the lottery OR when I create an app that sells for billions of dollars, I will totally sponsor our trip to Jamaica. Till then, I’ll leave you with this – I LOVE the sound of this book. I’m a sucker for books about friendship and reunions, so that’s really no surprise at all. I hadn’t heard of this one, but it does sound really good!

March 28, 2013 - 12:44 pm

Tara - While I can’t afford to pay for everyone to go to Jamaica, I still think we should all plan a group trip ๐Ÿ™‚ This book sounds like a great beach read!

March 28, 2013 - 9:20 am

Maggie - I’ve read one Sarah Pekkanen, Skipping a Beat, and while I liked it I found it so frustrating that I’ve never been able to bring myself to read anything else by her. But this sounds good, maybe I’ll change my mind. Great review!

Estelle’s Shelve It >> 2/3/2013

I’m pretty sure I did a Shelve It last year on Super Bowl Sunday (which fell on my birthday…) Oh my absolute favorite day in the world. Things are so tremendously different this year: new city, new place to live, an iPhone, my husband’s team is not actually playing tonight, and the half time show […]

Alexa Y. - I ditched the Super Bowl for Target last night, since I wasn’t particularly rooting for either team. Teehee.

Anyway, I hope you end up liking Unearthly! It really is a great series, and the angel thing is pretty interesting.

VeganYANerds - I don’t get or care about the Super Bowl either, but then I’m an Aussie ๐Ÿ˜‰

And yay, you went with Pepper, such a cute name for her! And I have to deal with Molly trying to knock over my camera each week, too!

Yay for Once Was Lost, I hope you like it. I have one more of Sara’s to read (not including her new release) – How To Save A Life.
