Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - This book sounds incredibly adorable. I think I may need it in my life! It sounds like something I need to take along with me when I go to the beach 🙂

May 16, 2012 - 10:03 pm

Estelle - Casee, Kristan definitely made me want to read more romances. I haven’t in SO long. I can’t wait to read another one of her books soon. I hope you enjoy Somebody to Love. I think you will. Some of the characters are just so quirky. And the lines are pretty hysterical. Enjoy!

May 16, 2012 - 7:05 pm

Casee Marie - Ahh, loved reading this! I just got this one for my birthday (or, you know, I picked it up when I was letting people buy me presents because they always say “Casee, you have such weird, obsessive taste in books so will you just pick something out so I don’t have to buy you another gift card?”) and I can’t wait to read it over the summer. I’ve never read Kristan Higgins, and I’m always a little nervous with an author I’ve never read. I thought from the synopsis that I stood a good chance of enjoying it, but reading such a nice review definitely helps to be sure!

Jamie - One of my IRL friends LOVES this author and always tries to get me to read her but I always thought I wouldn’t dig it. I will be reconsidering that after this rave review!

Estelle - Sharon, I need a book attached to me at all times plus a backup. It’s ridiculous. I wish I had a picture of the bag full of BSC & Sweet Valley books I brought with one on vacations. I also liked the Thing One nickname. It was cute and sort of catchy. haha. Thx for commenting!

May 4, 2012 - 10:55 am

Estelle - Mands, can you get a copy of this book? Let me know! I have the ARC and I can send it to you! I think you would love it!

May 3, 2012 - 10:56 pm

Sharon @ Fictionally Inclined - The idea of going on a road trip and not bringing a book along is completely foreign to me, even now.

I’m so glad you enjoyed this book, too! It really was a great read. Such great characters, and I always love a good swoon-inducing romance. Also, I had a strange liking for the “Thing One” nickname. Not sure why, but I adored it. It was so perfect.

I definitely agree about your casting for James – yes, please!

May 3, 2012 - 6:05 pm

VeganYANerds - I’ve never read any of Kristin Higgins’ books but you have me wanting to read this, Estelle! It sounds like a fun read and perfect for a holiday trip!

May 2, 2012 - 5:24 pm

Hannah @ So Obsessed With - First it was Lizzie McGuire, and today it’s Justin Bieber. I mean, my goodness Estelle, I want to be your friend. I was totally singing the Biebs song in my head when I clicked to open the review from my reader. AHHH! And then I started reading your post and laughed when you wrote that you thought of that song, too. I was anti-Bieber until I saw his movie (on opening night no less) and then I finally got what all the commotion was about. So anywayyyyy….. I totally saw this book in the library the other day and thought about getting it. Now I’m definitely going to pick it up! Can’t wait to read this – it sounds so cute! Plus, I’m also a sucker for books about home makeovers (and anything on HGTV dealing with said topic). Like really though. Glad I’m not the only one who loves a good home makeover 🙂

May 2, 2012 - 8:30 am

Jess @ Gone with the Words - I’m so happy you enjoyed it!! I totally loved this one too 🙂 Also, I wish I was one of those people who could read in a car..but I get carsick 🙁 But it’s ok because instead I listen to audiobooks! Great review, Estelle!

PS – Joshua Bowman would be fantastic! 😀

Estelle: Shelve It (4/29/2012)

Just a quick note before we launch into this week’s meme. This week has been quite a whirlwind in the blogging community when it was leaked that Kristi a.k.a. The Story Siren plagiarized work from another blog. This is an offense that Magan and I take very seriously, as we both work in fields were […]

Estelle - M, You already beat me to reading Lonely Hearts Club. haha. :-/ But you did introduce me to the “recommended by” feature on GR that might make my brain work better. So thanks for that. xo

May 4, 2012 - 1:11 pm

Estelle - Sash, ha! I have Looking for Alaska to read as well. Maybe I’ll read them back to back? Thanks for the suggestion!

May 4, 2012 - 11:17 am

Estelle - Paige! Thanks for stopping in! I had a fun time looking at your blog and listening to your vlog. I read Face on a Milk Carton a really long time ago and I liked it a lot… in fact it is one of the only books I have successfully gotten my younger sister to read too. Did you ever see the TV movie? It’s one of my favorites. haha.

April 30, 2012 - 3:24 pm

Paige - If you were only going to read a few Dystopians you should definately try Divergent because it’s so so good! I just finished reading The Summer I Turned Pretty so I can’t wait to get my hands on It’s Not Summer Without You. Thou Shalt Not Road Trip looks really good! I hope you enjoy everything and here’s my IMM!

Katie @ Blook Girl - Wow, what a fabulous book haul, ladies! I can’t believe you haven’t read Divergent yet! I really hope you love it 🙂 Thanks to YOU, I snagged an e-copy of Unbreak My Heart this week and I can’t wait to read it!

I keep hearing that I need to read Where Things Come Back, so I think I’ll pay a visit to the bookstore this weekend 🙂 Great, there goes my paycheck!

I also decided to “follow my own star” in regard to all the drama, and created my own meme, Mission: Acquired. I hope you’ll stop by and check out my goodies 🙂 http://www.blookgirl.com/book-blog/mission-acquired/147-april-28-2012

Happy reading, ladies! <333

April 29, 2012 - 7:49 pm

VeganYANerds - Haha, I laughed when you said “basically I’m a liar” because I am always saying I’m on a book ban but then I go out and buy more books!

Great haul this week, Estelle! I love the Summer series and the bonus letters sound interesting!

Also I need The Lonely Hearts Club, I love anything with a Beatles theme, must buy asap!

April 29, 2012 - 5:13 pm

Eva, The Book Stoner - SO glad to know where you and Magan stand regarding the plagiarism issue. I already love your blog but now I love it even more 🙂 Every book in the world will also come out May 1st. LOTS of them! Haha!

Great haul! 🙂

April 29, 2012 - 4:12 pm

Sash from Sash and Em - AHH! So much goodness!

1. Anything written by Elizabeth Eulberg rockkks.
2. FRANNY AND ZOEY.
3. I looooved Where Things Come Back 🙂 I’ve talked about it before but it would be so perfect to pair with Catcher in the Rye and Looking for Alaska.

margie c {the bumble girl} - The Lonely Hearts Club sounds like a good read, adding it to my list to hopefully get to this summer 🙂

P.S. I needed the Conrad goodness in my life, too 🙂

April 29, 2012 - 10:02 am

Jess @ Gone with the Words - I’m glad you loved Somebody to Love..but I’m also glad I didn’t know that Beebs song because I would’ve hated it being stuck in my head, lol. Also, I really hope you like Divergent!!! Eeeeep! And, oh boy, I need to get my hands on those letters in We’ll Always Have Summer! Enjoy your books!!

April 29, 2012 - 9:39 am

Estelle - Elena, hahaha. It was quite a bonus to read the book with JB stuck in my head. Really. Definitely get into Jenny Han’s summer series like… this summer. I can’t wait to hear what songs you come up with to go along with them!

April 29, 2012 - 9:29 am

elena - As soon as you mentioned Justin Bieber, I had to go on Spotify and put him on! I don’t know how I will get through that book without “I JUST NEED SOMEBODY TO LOOOOVE” constantly refraining in my head. I really want to read Enchanted so I hope it’s good! I love fairytales. :3 I’m excited for the new series on the blog you guys have planned! I hope you like Divergent too, it’s one of the better dystopians, I think. I really need to properly read Jenny Han books.
