The rediscovery of Doller power

Nothing beats the feeling of falling in love with an author’s work for the first time…except maybe revisiting that work and realizing you’re just as enthralled as you were that very first time. With so many new books being released every week, it’s not always as convenient to go back and spend time with those old favorites. Part […]

Maggie @ Just a Couple More Pages - I love that you remember exactly where you were when you read her first 2 books because I do too (in a hotel in Austin, TX for Something Like Normal and in my boring, awful Chemistry I class for Where the Stars Still Shine). I’d like to go back and read both of these too, especially for the things you pointed out. I also forgot how amazing Travis’s relationship with his mom is. And the really interesting female characters thing is so true. Even in Something Like Normal with a male protagonist Harper’s strength and individuality shines through.

Alexa S. - I adore this post, E! It really isn’t easy to specifically carve out time to reread old favorites, especially as a person who is constantly aware of what’s new and upcoming all the time. It’s so great that you were able to revisit Trish’s novels, and I loved your extra observations about them too!

Kate @ Ex Libris (@ExLibris_Kate) - I own her books but I have never read them. I feel like a terrible person b/c I know I would love them!

Rachel - Both of these books have been vaguely on my radar for a while, and I’ve read some non-spoilery reviews for both, but I have to say, you have just COMPLETELY sold me on these. I LOVE gritty, emotional and strong contemporaries, and these sound right up my street. Such a sincere post! R x

Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook - There is something absolutely wonderful about rereading an author and discovering that you still absolutely love these books. I finally read a Trish Doller book at the beginning of the year – Something Like Normal – and it was love! I need to check out her other books for sure.
