Alexa Y. - I am so, so glad to hear that you enjoyed this book! It sounded a bit too cute and fluffy to me at first, but as the reviews started pouring in, I felt like I should read this book. It does have some typical elements – like the rich versus poor relationship – but I like how it sounds like other things were added into the mix too. Plus, I think it’s quirky/creepy that they own a porcelain doll shop! Can’t wait to read this one.

July 16, 2013 - 3:06 pm

Alisa Selene - This sounds really good!

July 16, 2013 - 8:25 am

Amy @ bookgoonie - Love fun, playful banter.

July 15, 2013 - 5:25 pm

Jen - Eeep this book sounds so cute! I love books about finding one’s future, or relationships between mother/daughter. It looks like The Distance Between Us talks about just that! I also love character growth, and Caymen experiences some, so yay! I’ll have to check this one out soon since you enjoyed it so much, lovely review, Estelle! <3

July 15, 2013 - 3:36 pm

ashley - I love and adore West’s writing so I’m glad to know this is a good one, too!

July 15, 2013 - 2:41 pm

elena - their cute/funny outings were the BEST. i need some boy to help me find my passion in life. preferably on his private jet. whatever. totally agree on the mother relationship! i know we’re TOLD a lot they’re close but i actually wished there was more interaction to SHOW that they are?

July 15, 2013 - 2:36 pm

Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook - Seriously, this book was just what I needed. I love that dress, too! And the shoes!! Those are my kind of shoes, right there.

July 15, 2013 - 1:24 pm

Rachel - Ok, so for a while I wasn’t sure I wanted to read this one, but I MOST DEFINITELY do. This book sounds super relevant to my life, which is something I always love, and the characters sound awesome and interesting.

July 15, 2013 - 1:08 pm

Jen @ Pop! Goes The Reader - There’s no denying that this cover had me at ‘hello’. I’m so happy to hear that the story encased within sounds just as lovely as the beautiful cover art. I love the fact that Caymen sounds witty, sarcastic and brash, as that was certainly my own defence mechanism when I was growing up – It’s always a nice bonus when you can relate to the protagonist yourself 🙂 I think it’ll be interesting to watch as Caymen and Xander both conquer their initial impressions and prejudice of one another and I love the issue you touched upon regarding Caymen’s relationship with her mother. Family dynamics are always important to me within a novel and I had not heard about this aspect of the novel until reading your review. Although I’ve yet to read anything penned by Kasie West thus far (Pivot Point is still sitting unread on my TBR bookshelf) I have really high hopes for this one and can’t wait to read it! 😀

July 15, 2013 - 1:00 pm

Cassie - YES, YES, YES. I agree with every word you wrote here. I adored this book and really do hope there’s more from Caymen!

July 15, 2013 - 12:58 pm

Hollie @ Music, Books and Tea - You have totally just convinced me into buying this one very soon! I know a lot of people loved it, but I didn’t think that this book would be something I’d be into, but after reading your review, I know I’ll be reading this one pretty sharpish. I was sold at snarky main character, haha. 🙂

July 15, 2013 - 12:41 pm

Asheley Tart (@BookwormAsheley) - YES!!!! I loved this one so much. It was SUCH a fun, summer-y, fun read and I absolutely loved that cover. There is so much about this story that I loved, commenting on it all would be ridiculously long, but I’m so glad you loved it too. ALSO, on the back of the ARC when it mentions that this book is similar to the movie Pretty In Pink – YES IT WAS! I loved that and it stayed on my mind SO MUCH that I ended up having to watch the movie a few days later because it was driving me crazy. I can’t remember if you’ve read Pivot Point by this author, but I really loved that one too and I’m very eagerly awaiting its release.

July 15, 2013 - 12:13 pm

Stormy @ Book.Blog.Bake. - I really liked this one too! It was so refreshing to see a main character who wasn’t middle-class by any stretch of the imagination, and who worked because she HAD to for her family, not just because she was bored or for “entertainment” money. I also really liked that Caymen was interested in science and was sarcastic and witty. I think we’d have gotten along great in real life. I thought the relationship between Xander and Caymen developed slowly & naturally, and also really liked the family stuff.

July 15, 2013 - 11:54 am

Sara (of The Page Sage) - Caymen sounds really relatable and I love that she has a dry sense of humor. Also, I love books with “ooh-ahh” twists. Really want to read this now!

July 15, 2013 - 11:19 am

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - I’m really excited to read this one! I loved Pivot Point, the romance being my favorite part, so I was excited to see that Kasie West had a straight up contemp. I’m kind of surprised I haven’t read it already but I’m so glad to hear all the good reviews coming back so far! 🙂

July 15, 2013 - 10:31 am

Christianna - I’m loving all the things you have to say about this one! I like that it sounds like it deal with family relationships as much as it deals with the romantic one. Plus you’ve got to love a snarky main character! What a fun review!

July 7, 2013 - 10:27 pm

Jennifer Dysart - Loving Gretchen, it’s so wearable for any occasion!

July 7, 2013 - 6:35 pm

Candice @ The Grown-Up YA - LOVE the Gretchen color! All three colors for The Distance Between Us (one of the books I’m DYING to read) are beautiful, but that one just seems like a great neutral color for year round!

July 7, 2013 - 6:08 pm

Joli @ Actin' Up with Books - Oooh, I would love Trixie.

July 6, 2013 - 7:34 pm

Ashley @ Ashley Loves Books - I’m drawn towards Diana, but more than 50% of my polish collection are reds! (And I have a large polish collection, trust me haha) I don’t actually wear orange, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE wearing it on my nails so I love Ginger! Trixie is on my wishlist for the Halloween months, somehow I think it would fit super well during then.

July 5, 2013 - 11:30 pm

Dee'z Dazzling Designs - All the colors are beautiful but I’d have to say Ginger is my favorite.

July 5, 2013 - 8:49 pm

Rebecca @ Reading Wishes - I already commented but forgot to say while I love them all, Trixie and Stella are my favourites 😉

July 5, 2013 - 10:42 am

Cecelia - It’s close between Trixie and Gretchen (they’re very different!), but I think Trixie wins today. I’m feeling sparkly.

July 2, 2013 - 9:33 pm

Angela - Am very interested in either Trixie or Raven, lol. I just got into nail polish and love that there is such a big community with so much creativity going on!! Am slowly building my collection 😀 So many colors, brands and the perfect accent choice!

July 2, 2013 - 5:17 pm

Daphne - i like raven the best and i really wanna read both those books 🙂

July 2, 2013 - 3:00 pm

Rachel - Great pairings once again. Looooveeee the ones for The Distance Between Us. In general, I LOVE Trixie. I love flashy nail polishes because I think they look great with black and I wear LOTS of black in the winter. And the summer. Silver is just totally my thing. I also like Ginger, but I probably wouldn’t ever wear it because orange and I don’t mix. It’s pretty to look at, though!

July 2, 2013 - 1:56 pm

Claira - I’m loving Gretchen and Diana!

July 2, 2013 - 11:35 am

Gina - Trixie is TO DIE FOR! I hope I win! 😀

July 2, 2013 - 11:32 am

Juliana - I love Diana!

July 2, 2013 - 10:13 am

Courtney @ The Lit Girl - I love the three colors for Truly Madly Deeply! Beautiful picks!

July 1, 2013 - 5:35 pm

Dash - I love the reds Diana or Stella.

July 1, 2013 - 3:19 pm

Tammy - I always love a great basic nude.

July 1, 2013 - 2:04 pm

Summer - I only noticed afterwards that this was for U.S. only, so please ignore my entry.

July 1, 2013 - 1:47 pm

Summer - I so love the idea of matching your nails with the book you’re reading, super cute and creative. I’ve been very into oranges and corals, and anything in that range lately so I think Ginger would be my favorite.

July 1, 2013 - 1:36 pm

elena - Love these covers and colors!! I hope my library gets The Distance Between Us and now I’m inspired to paint my nails. 🙂

July 1, 2013 - 11:37 am

Judith - How have I never seen this feature before?! I loooove it! I buy way too much nailpolish, so I adore everything that has to do with that. Both of these combinations are so pretty, though the second one is definitely more for me. Love the fierce colors! I’ll be looking forward to more of these posts (and probably scrolling back through others :).

July 1, 2013 - 10:54 am

Alexa Y. - Am I allowed to say that I love all these colors a whole lot? They’re basically all the colors I would ever want to put on my nails lol. But let’s see, my favorites are GINGER and TRIXIE. What can I say – I’m a sucker for shiny things!

July 1, 2013 - 10:36 am

Tara - I love ALL of those colors! I think my fave might be Diana–it’s just very summery and pretty. Thanks for including my review of TMD 🙂

July 1, 2013 - 6:22 am

Ashton - I really want all of the nail polishes and books. I especially like Gretchen. It’s a nice color for everyday.

July 1, 2013 - 2:11 am

DannyBookworm - What a super duper cute idea!°!! Love this and the polishes look so awesome and pretty 🙂

July 1, 2013 - 2:00 am

Rebecca @ Reading Wishes - Looking forward to both of theses releases, especially TDBU since I read Pivot Point last week and loved it! I love these polishes and thought I have the bad habit of biting my nails, it’s something I want to work on because I do LOVE to paint my nails and yes to a vegan nail polish, woot! I’m not vegan but I”m vegetarian and I only like to buy cruelty free products so I’d love to try Zoya. Amazing post, guys!

July 1, 2013 - 12:17 am

Bookworm1858 - Great picks-I love seeing what covers you choose and what colors to represent them. My favorite is Diana!

June 30, 2013 - 10:25 pm

Aneeqah @ My Not So Real Life - Gah, I seriously LOVE these posts!! I love love love both match ups. The color Trixie is SO pretty, it’s like metallic! Ginger also looks a bit metallic, which is just gorgeous. And Stella is such a pretty color all around. <3

Awesome, thanks for sharing, you two!!

June 30, 2013 - 8:55 pm

tabithasbookblog - I love that you guys are nail polish fanatics as well!! My collection is getting out of hand, but there are just So many colors to try! And brands, and shades of colors, and different finishes. AH. I really like nail polish.

Anyways – I think I’d choose either Gretchen or Trixie – I like my nail polish to stand out because I wear mostly neutrals.

And now – i’ve given you my life story. Thanks for the giveaway!
