VeganYANerds - What a wonderful, thoughtful and personal review, M! You’ve made me realise I must have missed something when I read this – I read it in the middle of a big Aussie YA binge, so perhaps I’d already a bunch of great books and this one just didn’t hit me. I promise to read it again 🙂

I remember disliking Amelia’s dad and not thinking that the age gap was a big deal, but I liked that Chris didn’t just rush into it and take advantage 🙂

Amanda @ Late Nights with Good Books - I’ll admit that when I first heard the premise of this story, I was rather hesitant to read it. I mean, I just think that 15 and 21 is such a huge gap, not only in age but in experiences and maturity. I know that apparently the 15-year-old is “mature” for her age, but that still shouldn’t put her on the same level as someone who is 21 and in college. But I am much more interested in the book after reading your review. It sounds like a good book, and that Buzo very tactfully handles the subject matter.

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - Magan, your review is SO well-written. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it (and yes, it deserved a repetition of that statement). I think I have to read this book – the age difference between the two main characters is the same age difference between me and my fiance! And, also, we met when we were the same age as them. How interesting is that?

Leoni - Great review & this book sounds so good!

November 12, 2012 - 5:54 pm

Mary @ My Sisters Bookshelf - This sounds fabulous! I love an over-analyzer. And I’m intrigued by the age gap. I’m all about the older men. Just don’t tell my non-that-much-older boyfriend. It’s also a gorgeous cover, so you sort of had me at hello here!

Melissa - Beautiful review…I think you suceeded in doing the book justice. You certainly succeeded to convincing me to add it to my wishlist!

Brittany @ The Book Addict's Guide - Wow this sounds really great! I’ve been eyeing it for a while so now I know I’ll definitely have to pick up a copy. I love books that make you think beyond the text. Great review!

Daisy - YES!!! SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS BOOK!! I can’t believe this books hasn’t gotten more buzz before, I adored it! And Trevor! I don’t think I would have been able to resist him either 😉 I love that this book deals with tough subjects but is also a really sweet lovestory.

Hollie @ Music, Books and Tea - I remember vaguely hearing about this one, but I didn’t pay it that much attention. After reading your review though, I’m definitely going to be reading this one in the near future!

Top Ten Tuesday: Underrated Books That Have Flown Under the Radar - […] This book doesn’t have a ton of reviews on Goodreads, but this bad girl trying to seduce a good boy tale deserves so much more love. It’s raw and powerful and so many details are beautifully woven together. Bennett did an incredible job of making sure each part of her story was well-crafted. Kristen - Added this to my ever growing TBR list. 🙂 From what you’ve said about it, this book sounds fantastic. I love it when we actually get to know the characters really well. Plus, I kinda have a thing for nerdy/geeky boys, so… pretty sure I’m gonna love Trevor. <3 Thanks for the review!

July 9, 2012 - 3:54 pm

Magan - Kate – I am so glad you’re enjoying Smart Girls Get What They Want. Really curious to know what you think when you’re done! AND YAY FOR GEEK GIRL going on your TBR! It’s only $4.29, so not a bad deal at all for such a great book! Enjoy!

July 9, 2012 - 3:52 pm

Magan - Alexa! YAY! It always makes me SO happy when a friend has enjoyed a book as much as me. I 100% agree about the brilliantly written part. I felt like every single thing was wonderfully taken care of!

July 9, 2012 - 3:47 pm

Kate @ Musings - Sounds like a cute book to read! I love stories like this. Right now, I am eating up Smart Girls Get What They Want by Sarah Strohmeyer and quite enjoying it! Just put Geek Girl on my TBR list in GoodReads!

July 9, 2012 - 3:37 pm

Alexa @ Alexa Loves Books - YES to sharing the love for GEEK GIRL! I absolutely adored this book when I got the chance to read it last year (and I can’t even remember how I discovered it!). We should totally spread the love on Goodreads. It’s brilliantly written and just a lot of fun to read!

July 9, 2012 - 3:12 pm

Magan - Thanks, Elena! I think you hit the nail on the head. Seeing her change and feel loved was SO captivating. I mean, usually the bad boys are so fun and attractive (steamy!) in YA, but Jen had a bad rep for her bad-girl ways. I liked that Trevor could always tell that deeper down, she was better than what she was pretending to be.

July 9, 2012 - 3:11 pm

Magan - Lena! My sentiments exactly! It’s all kinds of right. GO BUY IT!

July 9, 2012 - 2:11 pm

Lena - Eeeer, that first . should be a ?

July 9, 2012 - 2:10 pm

Lena - How have I not heard of this book. It sounds SO good! Must buy…MUST BUY!

July 9, 2012 - 1:55 pm

Elena - I bought this immediately after reading your review! It was a cute story, I did like Trevor a lot. I liked that it was a role reversal of the typical bad boy cliche. It was nice seeing Jen’s change and realising she could be loved. Wonderful review, M!

Angela Parker - I love all of Cindy C. Bennetts books. And I agree they’re so over looked!
