Well, hello there! *stretches fingers and warms them up over the keyboard* Oh, where to start? Really I’m not quite sure, but I have so many thoughts floating through my head. I’m here and it’s been a long while and I’m sorry about that. Let’s see if I can rewind to kind of explain what […]

Melissa @ Writer Grrl Reads - This just brought tears to my eyes. You’re such an incredible woman, Magan, and I’m so awed by the way you life your life. You’re so warm and caring, and yet so real and so raw. Truly an inspiration to me.

Emma - Welcome back! It feels so special to see snippets of your girls on your social media and I’m glad you are feeling like you’re in a better place now. Congratulations on your new job as well! Switching jobs is always stressful but this change sounds like an exciting one.

Lori - Oh Magan, I can relate to so much of this. I too have had that feeling of coming up for air with both of my boys. I’ve questioned whether or not I did have slight PPD with both…or maybe it’s just normal new motherhood/hormones stuff? Who knows, but it’s so nice to feel more like myself these days. I love this post and I’m so happy you guys are back! Reading and blogging are my ‘me’ time. I’m sure you could use a little bit of that too. 🙂

Chrystal - Your babies have lovely names. Congrats on such a happy and beautiful family.

Your new job as children’s book consultant sounds interesitng. Going to have to look into that. 😉

Magan - Thank you, Sarah! Congratulations to you! The transition is so hard, yeah? It’s like some of the BEST and HARDEST moments all wrapped up in one. I’m so happy to be back! I’ve really missed this! xo

Sarah - I absolutely loved this post! I’ve just had my second child (now eight weeks old) and am totally feeling you. It’s lovely to see you back.

On a Personal Note: Hello From Magan!

Hi there, friends! Magan here. I hope you had a fantastic Fourth of July and were able to relax, sip a fun summery drink, and watch beautiful fireworks! I’m not entirely sure if you’ve noticed, but I’ve stepped back a bit from blogging since May. I just wanted to hop on and say hello… and […]

Cynthia - The hair looks great! The picture from the middle reminds me of that girl from The Ring, lol! I’m so happy for you and your baby! I will definitely keep you guys in my prayers and thoughts, I’m sure you are both doing great. It’s definitely a life change having a little one around but they are such a blessing. I hope you guys get to keep her forever.

Tara - You and the hubs are doing such an amazing thing with baby girl!! It takes a special kind of person to be able to open your heart to a foster child and I admire you guys so much. You keep being an amazing mom and all of us bloggers will always be here for you 🙂

July 7, 2013 - 1:31 pm

Alexa Y. - I’ve missed seeing you around M! But I’m so glad to hear that things are going well with the baby. You’re doing an incredible job, and it’s totally understandable that you’d have less time to read and blog. I’ll be praying for you, D + the baby! Lots of love <3

Janita @ Book, Interrupted - Amazing post! It’s so inspiring that you have a foster child and could go on such a beautiful trip as well! I’ve visited Colorado before, it’s so scenic and awe-inspiring. There’s something so peaceful about being surrounded by those mountains 🙂

I love the hair as well. I just went through a major transformation as well. I cut off almost 10 inches of hair recently, so right now my hair is resting on my shoulders. Weirdest feeling after having long hair for such a loooong time.

Asheley Tart (@BookwormAsheley) - Love your pictures, lady!
Love this personal note. Love every single time you post on the blog, whether it’s a lot or a little, personal or not. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re so fortunate to have the best co-blogger out there AND you and D are so fortunate to have that little miss to make such a wonderful impression on. Everything will balance out and work out and be just so. You are amazing and I love every form of you that I get whether it is twitter or blog or pictures on instagram or whatever. DO NOT let that sound too creepy cause I’m not a weirdo! xo

Jen @ Pop! Goes The Reader - I’m so glad to hear that things are going well, Magan! I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts and sending all the positive vibes I can in hopes that your foster daughter can become a permanent fixture in your family 🙂 Your photos from Colorado are absolutely stunning and I love your new haircut. I’ve been growing my own out for quite awhile now and while I do like it long, sometimes I get the urge to chop it all off as it can be a bit of a hassle at times. That said, I always tend to regret it immediately so I’m going to hold off on the impulsive haircuts for now 😛 I can’t wait to hear what you thought of I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella, which I adored, and Nantucket Blue and Please Ignore Vera Dietz, both of which I’m curious to read in the future. Best wishes!

July 6, 2013 - 10:40 am

Bookworm1858 - Thanks for the update Magan! I love your new shorter hair-it looks so thick and shiny (my hair is very thin and baby fine). I will also be praying for your foster daughter and her future with your family!

July 6, 2013 - 10:21 am

Jess @ Gone with the Words - Magan, I am SO happy to hear things are still going great with baby girl! You don’t know how much I want for you guys to be able to keep her in your lives. I’ll definitely be praying for that. As someone who has pretty much been absent a lot around the blogosphere these last few months, I totally understand where you’re coming from. I think sometimes we need these “breaks”, otherwise blogging would become like a job. In other words, don’t worry about us. 🙂 We’ll still be around!

LOVE the Colorado pictures! I so stalked them on IG haha.

Amy - My dear Magan, I’m so incredibly happy for you that the little lady is doing so well! I think about how you are doing all the time, and I wish I had a few more minutes in the day to actually ASK you instead of just WONDER. But I’m certainly hoping that things turn out exactly as you are hoping they will, and that your foster daughter becomes a permanent part of your little family. <33
Also, birthday snow cones pretty much guarantee an excellent day. Now I am craving one!
P.S. Your pictures from Colorado are gorgeous! As all your pictures usually are. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE your new hair! Such a pretty length.
